Tivoli Audio PAL+ BT - Portable DAB+/FM Radio with Bluetooth - Glossy Black/White

Had an original PAL radio for a long time which I loved.Thought I would give an upgrade a try.This version feels a bit plasticy compared to the original but sounds pretty good.One annoying thing is that many of the functions like setting up your station presets are only available through the remote, could be a problem if you lost the remote.After a couple of days the PAL stopped playing sound through the speaker, it only works with a headphone plugged in.I feel the standard of the PAL range has dropped over the years, for the price you expect something better than average.

Great little radio, well made and fairly good sound quality - but set up of all options complex and fiddly with the remote. Also if used as a bedside radio/alarm, the lowest backlight setting is FAR TOO BRIGHT TO USE!!!!!! I therefore have to switch it off which totally defeats the reason I bought it.

I travel lot and I bought the Tivoli Pal Bluetooth speaker as a high quality portable device. As a previous user of Tivoli products, for me it was an obvious choice, but it has turned out to be a big disappointment.The sound is good, but my big problem with this unit is that the digital radio is locked to a particular region and it does not switch automatically to any other region! I bought it in the UK and it works there with PAL but when I tried using it in Australia (PAL+) the unit would not pick the PAL+ stations. So much for a so called 'portable device'!Also, I find that the way they advertise this product misinforms consumers. They should clearlystate that the product comes locked to the digital radio format where you buy the unit.

Brilliant piece of kit, very pleased. Seamless intuitive operation, great reception (in the depth of my bathroom), lovely reductionist design and very well built. For what you get it's good value. I'm not bothered that you can't use it whilst it's charging - it charges quickly anyway. Have had FM Tivoli radios and this is as good. One of the best things I've bought in a long time.

Great product. Love the styling, portability and sound quality. Just perfect for trips away, BBQs or chilling on the beach.Although the instructions don't make it clear all options can be selected using the top button.

Great product that does almost everything on might want - excellent compact design with good efficient interface,when one has learnt it - good digital radio and FM performance - also external AUX input and Bluetooth. Had a slight problem with the Bluetooth - having paired once with my iPad, iPhone or Apple MacBook Pro it could not pair again to the same device! Via an 0800 help line got a very helpful response and was told that Apple's update to its OS caused problems with Bluetooth - not wholly convincing since my Bose SL III bluetooth speaker has no problem with this. However, they said there was a mod to the hardware that would ameliorate the problem and emailed me a courier label so that it could be returned free to factory in The Netherlands, and was rapidly returned and now works fine - why haven't they modified their electronics design? So, only one star deducted since the sign of a good company is how they deal with customers' problems, which they did very well.
