Item great but Amazon customers not so much.
The microchip scanner arrived with the battery completely drained so I thought its not off to a good start. Sooned charged up though. Picked up both my dogs microchip number immediately. I attached it to my computer and I opened Notepad then held the button down for 3 seconds and it loaded immediately onto screen. Saved it as a text file. My husband checked out the bluetooth settings. It linked quickly with no problems and loaded to text file on phone. Item very good value and worked perfectly. My BIG grip is that the item has been used before as it already had 2 other Microchip numbers in its memory. Thanks Amazon for sending me a used item even though I paid the full new price! Obviously Amazon customers are buying it and looking up their pets number then returning it for a refund. Very dishonest all round!I decided not too mark the item down in my review as the item works perfectly and the item is good value. I feel sorry for the seller with customers like this.

Super quick, faster than the Halo devices
I used to work as a dog handler, transporting rescue dogs all over the uk and beyond, whilst doing so we used the halo devices - at that point I didn't have anything to compare them to but they were reliable.I purchased the Tera Pet microchip scanner from Amazon warehouse - used like new, if it hadn't arrived with the Amazon warehouse sticker on the box, i would have sworn it was a brand new product. One of my dogs, her microchip migrated all the way to the base of her tail, therefore I like to keep a check of where my pets chips are located.I also feed local stray cats if they are looking underweight, having cats myself I would be devastated if I lost one due to someone else feeding them, therefore I like to scan them prior to doing so. If they have a chip I can then contact the owner incase said cat is actually lost. The same thing applies when coming across dogs without an owner.I'm impressed by the speed these scanners pick up the chip and the added portability due to its smaller size. Battery life is also quite impressive, with the added bonus of being rechargeable.Great lil device, if I was to damage it or loose it, I would deffo repurchase.

Works well!
I bought this as an alternative to taking stray cats to the vet to be checked. This does exactly what it needs to do. Easy to operate, clear to read, and turns itelf off after a reasonable interval. Happy to recommend.

Very handy!
I have a chip catflat but although everything seemed okay, it had stopped responding to my Cat.Bought this to see which was the problem and it picked up my cats chip straight away!Simple but it does whats required.

Does the job
Does the job, however it's keeps turning itself on in my bag, every time the button pressed, no way to switch it off.And it's also loud. A silent option would make it perfect for timid cats.

Easy to use, but can't upload
Lovely and light, easy to use until you connect it to your computer....and nothing. As a device it isn't showing up. Pressed button 3 secs and it says it's downloading and then says download ok, but nothing connected on computer? Is there a program or App to download first? Nothing in instructions! Will return it a faulty if no answers on this problem!
