What is the shortest length the clubs adjust to?

I bought it for my granddaughter and she took it home with her. It isn't real big and is made for younger children, but I can't tell you the exact length. My granddaughter is 6 years old.

can they use normal golf balls with this set?

I don't know for sure since we haven't tried to do that but I'm guessing you should be able to do it.
