Worked good. When it worked
Worked for a couple days. Now computer doesn't recognize it. All leads indicate it's connected but no device showing on the pc

There's literally no information anywhere about it.
The device is basically unsupported, the ODrive software works to send and get information from it but, you cannot update firmware, you don't know the pinouts(ex how to enter dfu mode). I was able to enter dfu-mode by holding boot + reset but the system still can't update the firmware. It doesn't correctly report the existing firmware either. It will probably work for basic motor control but I'm just generally annoyed by how badly it is supported, like I said there's literally no information on the device anywhere.

Entering DFU is a bit different as the physical buttons don't work in the OEM FW
Works fine but entering DFU mode was a bit different then some of the other Odrive based ESCs.For this specific one the buttons don't actually do anything except setting the ESC in a non-bootable state. To enter DFU open odrivetool, power on the ESC and send the following command once the ESC has connected in odrivetool: odrv0.enter_dfu_mode() .

Powerful and Versatile Brushless Servo Control
The ODESC V4.2 Brushless Servo Motor Controller Driver Board is an impressive piece of hardware for anyone working with brushless motors. The software configuration via Odrivetool is straightforward, and the support for both FOC (Field Oriented Control) and BLDC (Brushless DC) motor control modes provides flexibility for different applications. I've been impressed with the performance and precision of this controller, and it's opened up a world of possibilities for my robotics and automation projects.
