Made in the USA
I recently purchased a pair of ActionTrax as I was going on a 2-week Overland expedition in the Southwest US where the possibility of getting stuck in sand or loose gravel was a real possibility. I actually did get stuck, once on a beach in sand and while trying to climb a steep hill with loose gravel. The ActionTrax worked perfectly! In side-by-side comparisons with other brands, the US-made ActionTrax are much stronger and will actually support the weight of the vehicle when used for bridging or as a ramp.

Love these things! I was lazy and bought these with bolts already installed, although they’re great!

Simply the best
I own both the basic and the extreme (metal traction) version of Actiontrax, and have used them for 3yrs, wheeling everything from a Land Cruiser to a 4x4 Sprinter. They are extremely tough, remaining flexible well below freezing, conforming to the terrain, and showing minimal wear (no spinning). While I prefer the extreme version for obvious reasons, either are really great products. Why the extreme model? Even experienced uses can accidentally spin a tire, which is how all such boards face damage. The risk grows worse if you help an inexperienced driver, and they give too much gas. The combination of steel nut/bolts almost entirely avoids that risk. They give excellent grip on even street tires (more than MaxTrax metal lugs), are easily replaced, and can be found at a hardware store. Truly efficient design. In truth, you can ADD the same bolts if you damage the basic model ActionTrax, but for the hassle (with a Dremel) it's easier to get a pair of the extreme model. As an aside, if you are serious about off-roading, have you ever wondered why ActionTrax are excluded from most traction board reviews? It's because of marketing budgets. One brand dominates by flooding the marketing. The rare head-to-head reviews of ActionTrax vs MaxTrax reveals that both are very, very good and tough, but there are distinct differences, stiffness vs. pliability being #1, and made in the USA (or not) being the other. So again, these have some subtle differences from and (in many cases) advantages over MaxTrax. But they are far superior to cheap brands that I have used/owned, and far, far better than the old air force landing mats I had decades back. Kept readily accessible, these are also ideal for helping stranded motorists (e.g., heading to ski areas), and avoid the legal liability (and hassle/time) of attaching a strap to someone's stuck vehicle (which may lack a rated tow point). In short, these US made boards are top tier. This is the board I also recommend to anyone with heavy vehicles. Their weight rating is far higher than the competition, as they simply regain their form, rather than cracking/snapping. You can see examples of videos with extremely heavy vehicles being recovered with them. Anyone with a heavily built van (which can hit 10,000lb or more) should definitely choose these over most if not all other traction boards.

Great product
We own a set of red. Met the business owner at Rendezvous in the Ozarks. As a reviewer falsely stated.... they are NOT made in China not do they easily crack in cold weather. They are made in the USA in Wichita, Ks. Most people that use them agree they do not crack in cold weather like other brands very similar to these because the chemical composition is very different.... purposely made so they don’t crack in cold weather. We highly recommend them!

very happy with these boards
the metal teeth grabbed really well and the plastic does not get brittle in the snow. I would recommend them.

Amazing
Looks great, haven’t used them yet but the quality seems like it will last a lifetime and work great. I love that it also works as a shovel that part I have used. Also easy to clean
