Good performance iron
Early days, but performance is better than expected. Compared with a Tefal Ultimate this produces more steam. Glides easily, has a good volumetric water capacity, buttons conveniently located where they were meant to be, buttons not in the way whilst use. Good features of extra steam. Its heavier than Tefal irons and doesn't have an auto switch off function. However, these are also good features: a heavier iron works better on creases due to the obvious weight applied, and the auto switch off function is more of a nuisance to be fair ( I hope Tefal is taking this on board....). My advice: buy this with confidence. Good value. Bosch quality as expected.

My new best friend
Well I have just got this iron.Ironing has been piling up as I couldn't face the dreadful iron I had and it took ages.I was prepared not to like this and I must say that on unpacking I was not impressed as it looked bulky and was a wee bit on the heavy side [for me anyway]I was careful with the box as I was sure that it would be going back.I am not saying that I will iron everything because I fold away as much as I can however my new best friend came to life.Long cable, great steam and one run through something creases gone, none of this pushing an iron back and forwards as a result ironing honestly done in half the time HONEST .Clothes that I was about to throw out because they looked 'tired' came to life, all they needed was a good iron.I am very pleased .Anything that makes my life easier pleases me.I really think that you will love this iron

Good Buy
Very good iron, makes short work of the mountains of bedding I have to iron. Nice long lead, I can iron a sheet on a double bed (so much easier than ironing them on the ironing board) with it plugged in on the other side with no stretching or having to go over and over. It does drip a fair bit sometimes, particularly around the handle, so best fill right up. It is also pretty thirsty and the water tank is large, but it produces a good amount of steam so can't complain too much. It takes quite a while to fill the tank as the opening is small and a bit awkward so water comes back out easily if you pour too fast. Easy to see when the tank is getting full though and the controls are simple to use as well.Heats up quickly and the auto-off function when left is handy. Not as stable as it could be, i've knocked it over a couple of times (managed to chip the baseplate on the edge after less than a week but hasn't affected performance so hey ho) so I prefer to stand it on the desk rather than the ironing board. It's perhaps a little on the heavy side if you do a lot of ironing - I can do about an hour before my wrist starts to feel it, but anyone with joint problems may struggle with this one, although the handle is comfortable to hold.Overall a good investment I reckon, i've had cheap irons in the past that don't perform or just break so I think it's a false economy buying cheapos.

worked great until minor niggle.
Nothing really we had a Bosh from my great Aunt an old one very heavy for her well it was on the solid side we used it for years, when it came to the end we again decided to get a Bosh this one is very light again same features however 5 months later the water cap kept popping open so called Amazon God they take a day out of your life you type they type blah blah very nice efficient its difficult to understand when they call you just over the top. Finally Amazon put me onto Bosh who rang me and in 2 minutes my part will be here in 3 days, all that was needed was the problem part, the iron number, my address and email wow that's how you do it well done Bosh.

Huff and puff
You know those novels about a dystopian future in which machines control human beings? Well this iron steps right off the pages of one such. The good thing is it generates a lot of powerful steam which reflects its quality and high wattage. On the other hand it lacks a `motion sensor' or whatever so it does not realise you've stopped moving it about. So while you're adjusting the garment, it keeps puffing and hissing out steam and totally stressing you out, calling out to you for attention...which leaves you with 2 options - either fill up the tank after every 2 garments which is ridiculous or use the little toggle switch to turn the steam off each time you put the iron down. That's tedious, but that's what I do. to be fair I bought it on 50% sale so it was quite cheap but this is not an inherently cheapie product or brand. At 50% I'm tolerating it, at full price I would have been quite annoyed. Definitely a case of thoughtless product design by an excellent brand.

The iron for you
Not as lightweight as my previous iron, but it's ok for me. It's a brilliant iron. I love the pointed tip, the size of the water tank is non too shabby and the cord length is bigger than I am used to so makes it easier to relocate my ironing board to whereever I want it! It steams, it gets hot and as long as you follow the filling and emptying instuctions and the care of it in the first place, I see no reason why it won't last a decent amount of time.I bought this model as it has separate buttons for steam and water spray, has auto switch off if left standing without use and the anti-calc and self clean is an absolute must as the water in my area is very hard.
