Rawlings 2018 Quatro Composite USA Baseball Bat (-10)

With the Makos no longer LL eligible, I was set out to find another great bat. After reading many reviews we decided to give the Rawlings Quatro a try and we haven’t been disappointed. My 12yr old son (average size) loves the way the bat feels - not too heavy but still gives you a pop. I was worried about him getting the bat around with this being a bigger barrel but he says it’s feels balanced and he doesn’t feel like he’s lost control. It’s not exactly the nicest looking bat (from a mom’s perspective) or the cheapest but the qualities it has overshadows that by far.Update: Unfortunately as others the bat did crack. So dropped the rating to three stars. My son liked the bat so much, he wants another one. I called Rawlings and it’s covered under their warranty, it’s a one time replacement and I’m happy for now. So upped it to 4 stars.UPDATE April 27th - Day 1, bat arrived ... looked brand new but noticed a few things that were different than his original Quatro. The gripping material around the handle wasn’t as cushy and the knob was plastic. Bat was also stamped “no warranty” ok, figure the last one didn’t crack for months so hopefully he can at least finish out the season. Day 2, he takes it to practice and within three swings the bat cracks again .... WOW and that was the one replacement Rawlings guaranteed. Im going to give them a call to see if there is anything that can be done.

Bat developed 2 cracks after about 30 hits. Takes 2-3 weeks to get replacement, which means I'll be buying a new bat and will not be Railings. Bat does not hold up and would not recommend to any players who consistently make solid contact. May be good bad for beginners who do not want the bat sting and makes soft contact, but not at the price point for this bat. Rawlings lost a customer for life, not just bat products, due to not standing behind their product. A recall should be provided to all purchases of this bat.4/13/2018 Update : Rawlings replaced the 2018 Quatro bat with more durable 2019 Quatro Pro. I had to upgrade from 29' to 30' -10, due to only available in 30'. son will need to choke up a little, but he handles bigger bats well and was already asking for the next size anyway. Not sure what more durability means, but hoping issues with the 2018 quality has been fixed. I added pictures of the 2019 Quatro Pro, since it's not on any websites or posted anywhere I could find yet.

32/22 -10Good Start out of boxMy son was progressively becoming unhappy with his new 31/21 “grey” bat because it seemed to him that it had dead spots and it stung his hands. Needless to say, he was struggling at the plate. He had tried his friend’s Rawlings Quattro (that his friend had won), and felt relatively confident hitting it, so he wanted to try something else - that bat. After numerous discussions about why bats are not magic, we caved. It’s difficult to watch your child struggle at the plate after experiencing success. We received the new Rawlings Quattro in the mail on Friday, and he pulled off the wrapper for tournament play on Saturday - not usually advisable I know I know. He subsequently went 3 for 5 over two games with a ground rule double and an HR.The tournament ended with an HR derby, which, he won in a hit-off on a modified legion field.I am not a professional bat evaluator, but three things impressed me. 1) The bat seems pretty consistent in terms of sweet spot; 2) it is easy to hit and friendly on hands; 3) it has reasonable pop for the new USA bats. I recommend this bat.Height of batter - 5-4 ishArm length -longer than avgWeight 120 ish (Lanky)

My son loves this bat! He had a Mako previously but we had to switch because of the new bat regulations. He's been hitting balls out to the fence and a few over! He says this bat is even better than his Mako. Little to no bat sting or vibration either. Highly recommend this bat to others.

My 9 yr old son used this bat only 3 times and it cracked!!! Luckily Amazon, shipped me a new one (even before I shipped the defective one back) in only 2 days. My son used the replacement bat approximately 5 times and the same thing happened again in almost the exact same spot. These bats have been very well taken care of...no sharing, kept in bat bag, and only used for practice and games. I contacted a representative from Rawlings and was told this particular bat (30in/20oz) was having some issues. She suggested either the 29in or 31in as there had not been many issues with those sizes. I was stubborn because the size my son needed was the 30inch. I have just purchased the Velo from Amazon and waiting for delivery. I hope I have better results with this one!!!

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I would give it ZERO STARS if I could!!! This bat has been used maybe two dozen times. It is completely destroyed and falling into pieces. I have owned many baseball bats over the course of 30 somewhat years and I have never ever had this happen to any of my bats. I’ve contacted Rawlings they will do absolutely nothing about it because I have owned it over a year now. I will never ever purchase anything from Rawlings again. I am truly disgusted and outraged. $300 for a baseball bat and it is falling to pieces. I AM PISSED!!!!!!!!

Our Hong Kong 50/70 team purchased every new USA drop 10 out there. This one in our opinion had the most pop. I have heard about some bats breaking but we have not had that issue. We had multiple kids using them and this was the preferred bat. If your player can not go to a lower drop I think you will like this one.

The new bat rules for Little League suck. But of the bats that we tried this one is the one. Little to no vibration on contact, decent sweet spot and even load. The Quatro is evenly balanced, 100% Composite, and has decent pop, but just be aware that none of the bats are going to give you the pop you kids are used to. Of the new standard bats, this one is the best I have run across.

Bat has been a great replacement to the Easton Ghost X Drop10 that was decertified by Little League. Should have started with this bat.
