First thing to note is that it only works on hanging on desks, and other flat surfaces with 90 degree angle. I use this while traveling because I hate putting my bags on the floor. I bring one with me every where.

I use this at school and hang my Oakley laptop bag (by the metal handle) on it. I was surprised it held up, I usually have large books, a binder, and a full glass water bottle in it. I appreciate how small it is, so it doesn't take up a lot of space.

I use this at home on a .75" thick pull-out shelf to keep my bag handy to my desk and off of the floor. It holds securely and also allows a little side to side swing so I can get into nearby drawers without moving the base or removing the bag. It would work this way up to about a 1.25" table thickness (given a flat, non-beveled edge). It gets a little dicey on thicknesses between 1.25" and 2.75" because the vertical bar can't hang straight and the padded elbow can't kick in. Surfaces with a beveled edge of more than .25" from the edge will not work. On the whole, it is very flexible and works great in a variety of situations.

Super impressed. My bag is about 13” high and weighs a decent amount with my wallet, my full 32oz Hydro Flask plus all the normal ‘purse’ items and this little hook had no problems holding it up at the edge of my desk.

Amazing for the price. I bought this specifically because the hook can be flipped. Most of them only go one way, and I needed something specifically that I could use under my desk. Cheap and effective!

Worked for about 5 minutes until my purse was in the floor. All directions are in Chinese so couldn’t read them if I wanted to. Threw it in the trash, waist of 8 bucks.

I wanted something low profile and friction holding. Love this thing. Holds my full backpack at work.
