This foglight kit fit my 2008 Corolla well and is made with a very solid design. It comes with all the necessary accessories for installation, and they look to be quality parts despite being one of the cheapest options available. I retrofitted these (along with the headlights) with LEDs; and then, since my car has a TPMS button where the foglight button would have to go, I simply wired them into the edge-marker lights and the chassis. So if I'm in the fog, I can click the headlights off, but leave the edge-markers and fogs on. And during regular nighttime driving, the foglights send much needed light out to the sides which aids with spotting deer.However, the glare shades over the bulbs are way overkill, obscuring much of the light. Even so, the fog lights send a surprising amount of light upwards while barely lighting anything but diagonally to the right and left of the pavement directly past the bumper of the car (nothing to the sides for deer and a big dead spot in the center). After visually studying the reflectors, I decided to break the glare shades off. This substantially improved the light output while only increasing the glare slightly. The foglights are now bright enough to drive by, and send a nice ball of light out both sides. The center is still dim, but that's fine as the headlights fill that area exclusively. It turns out that most of the glare is being reflected up by the bottom face of the lamp housing, which was stupidly painted with a mirror coating instead of matte black! Since the design was too sturdy for me to take apart, I tried painting it black though the lamp holes with some success and reduced glare.In the end, the paint fumes shaded the lens some, and the broken off glare shades are loose, stuck inside the foglight housing, but the performance of the fog light is much improved! Wish they could make these design improvements themselves!
