Better design than expected. Truly new and improved.
I have had several food savers over the years and they continually improve them. This model incorporates all the functions a homeowner needs in what I consider a very improved design. The way you can see the sealing area on your bag as well as the sealing of a new bag at the same time is efficient and really saves bag material. You can adjust the bag to seal where you want. My old unit sensed if a bag was present but regularly folded the end of the bag over impacting the ability to reach full suction. This unit corrected the problem.

What took me so long?
After unboxing, it took a day or two to get brave enough to attempt to figure out how to use it. After a couple of bags, I was a pro, even figuring out how to make odd size bags. I especially like the resealable bags. I have the perfect place in the kitchen so it can be left out and ready to use. I live alone and always need to freeze divided packages of meat and veggies and this is perfect. What took me so long?

Buy this!
This product has saved me money by allowing me to buy meat in bulk and properly freeze it without it getting weird in the freezer. The system is easy to use and a great value as I have not found it cheaper anywhere else. This is my most used small kitchen appliances.

Great features
This is my third Foodsaver product over the last 15 years. Although the features are great and it is easy to use, I found the additional videos and manual lacking...in particular included in the box is a container for storing deli foods...with no explanation as to how to use it or to take apart to clean it. I think a video/manual that shows exactly how to use all the items included in the package is a necessity. Foodsaver could have done better! Even though I would have given 5 stars... with better instruction. I highly recommend this product.

Great Vacuum Sealer
Excellent vacuum sealer machine for the price and great selection of accessories to get started. Easy to use and great for sealing fish fillets without all the water to prevent freezer burn.

Don’t wait get one!
I had dragged my feet on buying a Food Saver and now wonder WHY did I wait so long!?!? I use it almost every day, from sealing veggies in the fridge to freezer meals. I recently purchased a bunch of the containers so I can meal prep as well.

I will use this product to store my food longer and thus save money and time. Have had the chance to use my Food Saver and I Love It. Easy to use. I'dd recommend this item to anyone.

Wonder if it was used.
I bought this to replace my other sealer, which was like this one. It has started to not vacuum seal very well and several packages don't stay sealed. I wouldn't buy this again especially for the price I paid!!!

Súper Práctica y Funcional Foodsaver 5480
Recibí mi Foodsaver 5480 al día siguiente de haberla comprado. Me llegó en excelentes condiciones y con todos los accesorios publicados. La usé y como todo, debes entender bien primero su funcionamiento para que te de el resultado. Realmente es fácil de usar y el resultado es maravilloso, ya la he utilizado con el rollo y las bolsas de sellado al vacío obteniendo resultados perfectos. Verdaderamente la recomiendo ampliamente, vale lo que cuesta porque es si no la más completa una de las más completas lo cuál te da practicidad y por lo mismo mayor rapidez también.

excelente para conservar alimentos
El producto es genial, fácil de usar y muy práctico, excelente para ahorrar espacio y excelente para conservar los alimentos más tiempo y en mejor estado, lo único es que no llego el accesorio para el vacío de botellas de vino (wine stopper) que en la imagen y publicidad indican que lo trea.

Muy practica herramienta para conservar los alimentos. aunque su operación es intuitiva, ahora hay que agarrarle la practica para sacarle el mayor de los provechos. 100% recomendableSOLO QUE ME ENVIARON OTRA MAQUINA DIFERENTE A LA QUE COMPRE. LA FOTOGRAFIA NO CORRESPONDE A LA DE MI COMPRA. POR LO QUE REQUIERO UNA ACLARACION
