Extremely quiet fans with great airflow
I bought an inexpensive TV cabinet to install my XBOX One, cable router, WD storage array, and other related electronic devices in so that I could clean up the wiring clutter and make things look a little nicer in the living room. Even if the front and back of a shelf is open, heat can build up around sensitive electronic equipment and raise the ambient temperature in the shelf to over 85 degrees. To make sure my equipment doesn't overheat in the shelves I installed them in, I cut holes in the back of the cabinet and installed two of these fans. I purchased a cheap 12VDC switching supply to power them with so that they run 24x7. I chose these fans because they had the airflow I calculated would be needed and were among the quietest fans available. They are very thin and rigid, and even included the mounting hardware needed to attach them to the TV stand. The ambient temperature in the shelves now stays just a few degrees higher than the temperature in the room which is exactly what I needed to avoid potential premature failure of my entertainment electronics. The fans are so quiet that they cannot be heard even when everything is turned off and I sit in the room for a few minutes getting used to the silence. These fans were exactly what I needed, the new TV cabinet looks great, and my living room looks so much better without all the cables, wires, boxes, and power strips laying on the floor.

Cool and very quiet!
I purchased one of these Enermax fans to put in my Powermac G5 mATX mod as an exhaust fan. Already having enough fan noise in my case, I wanted something that would be inaudible but still move some air. I have to say that I am very pleased with this fan so far. Running off of the 3pin motherboard connector, it is the quietest fan in my case by leaps and bounds, and yet I still feel a steady stream of warm-ish air coming out of the back. This fan also allows you to detach the blades, a feature meant for easy cleaning. I took this as a good opportunity to spray paint the casing in a gray to match the stock Apple fans. For those of you trying to pop out the blades using your thumbs as shown in the image gallery, forget it! That image makes it look easy, but I almost sliced open my thumb trying to do it this way. The best way I found was gripping the top of the blades with four fingers, and yanking the fan out. This will take MUCH more force than you expect, so don't worry about breaking it (as long as you're gripping near the center). An email in to Enermax tech support confirmed that a lot of force was required.Despite being a little wary of going with Enermax, a brand I have never used before, I have been very pleased overall, and the price is very decent for such a quiet fan! Highly reccomended!

Satisfied
As others have said, the fans seem fine except the mounting screws don't fit the holes and you basically have to take a drill and enlarge the holes just a bit. The material that the fan frame is made out of is extremely hard. It isn't soft plastic that you can easily force a larger screw into like the plastic most fan frames are made of. You simply cannot force these screws in like you normally can. You just have to use a drill and be careful and not make the holes too big or that obviously won't work either. I got lucky and picked exactly the right drill bit. As far as the fans, they seem to work just fine. I needed an extra fan for the front of my hard drive cage so I just replaced them both with these. They're not silent but they're quiet. Then again the speed is only 900 RPM. You wouldn't expect much noise at that speed. Nevertheless, my hard drives are several degrees cooler and even my processor is running cooler. These are ideal for cooling hard drives. They don't spin any faster than they need to in order to produce enough air to cool a couple of hard drives for each fan. If you space your drives right these fans will blow a fairly wide swath of air. It surprisingly doesn't take a lot of force to cool hard drives. My drives will quickly heat up to about 55 C without any airflow. They stay around 32 C with these fans.

Cheap, Extremely Quiet, and Moves a Ton of Air
I was looking for a fan to fit a new HTPC, and noise levels were very important. The fan also had to move a decent amount of air for it's noise level within a small, cramped case. This fan met my qualifications, with a very low noise level (17db) and a decent air flow (44 CFM). It was also from a reputable company and at a great price compared to what else was out there. As an added bonus it looks pretty good and doesn't have any annoying LEDs to disrupt a dark movie viewing. The fan has delivered on everything I expected. I can't hear it all at top speeds. There is no whine or vibration in my setup, which has it mounted vertically as an intake fan on the side of a small case. It looks better than the pictures as well, with clear fan blades in a black housing. It comes with a 3/4 pin connecter, 4 screws, and is retail boxed.I'm very happy with this fan and would recommend it for anyone looking for a silent case fan with high CFM.
