Will it still pick up the code even though the check engine light isn’t on? If the problem is inconsistent.

On my 2007 SLK350 I have an advisory code always present that does not turn on the check engine light. This device will transmit it to the app you use.

You have to get the scanner that is specifically for chevy/gmc. You cant reprogram sensors however, they are probably bad and need replacing. You can turn your check engine light off with the scanner, but it will just come back on until the sensors are replaced.
