Don't let the small size fool you
I previously purchased a Rockville 8" sub in a shallow mount ported box but it wasn't giving me what I needed. I have a BMW Z3 and as anyone knows... that car is lacking for space to put speakers. I had to get creative so I removed that weak Rockville shallow sub from the enclosure and decided to try this NVX 8" SUB based on its specs and reviews.... also price. It cost about 25$ more than the boxed sub from the other company, and well worth it. This thing absolutely bangs. I have it up on the rear deck where the convertible top folds down. But it provides plenty of deep bass that hits even with the top down. Putting it in the Rockville box was a risk because the bottom of this sub almost touches the bottom of the box.... maybe 1/2" clearance. I was concerned that it would result in garbage sound quality but im pleased to report that I've had zero issues. I have this sub powered by a 1000W Crunch GP amp that I have bridged to 1 channel. Based on Crunches specs.... this sub is getting Roughly 4 to 500 PEAK Watts which is prolly optimistic. I listen to 90s era Rap, Metal, old school Punk, some modern punk like Pennywise and Bad Religion, 70s funk, soul and R&B, 80s pop, and some electronic music like NIN, KMFDM, and Wumpscut, and alot of Tool and APC, and i rarely have an issue. I installed a gain control knob close by for fine tuning which helps. My system is rounded out by two 6.5 inch Orions with bullet type metal tweeters and two 5.25" in the kick panels (installed by previous owner so they are unknown brand). The four main speakers are pushed by a 2000 watt Crunch 4 channel amp, and that is all tied to a Pioneer DMH2000 Head unit. All in all I think my system sounds great as do others. Not gonna win any competitions but thats not my thing. What I've set up is able to compete with the road noise and modified exhaust in the Z3 and thats all that mattered. I got off on a tangent but I'll reiterate by saying im super impressed by the NVX build quality and performance. Ill add that I live in the palm desert ca, and the heat (115 today) beating on my speakers hasn't caused any issues either. Quality stuff. Cheers to NVX

Excellent Quality and Very Satisfied
You can put these well past entry level subs. They preform amazing for the price point. They have great cone control that really puts the impact and energy into the sound that can be felt in your bones, and you only need 1000w RMS to drive them to full potential. Highly recommended as a solid purchase and not break that wallet.

Sound quality on a budget
NVX NSW84v3 800W Peak (400W RMS)I bought this to replace a busted Skar 8”. The Skar was ran by an NVX 500 watt rms amp mono at 2 ohms which this is NVX is currently hooked up to. Sub is 400 rms but handling 500 quite well. I don’t care or feel like looking up the model of amp. Good ish for a budget brand amp though. I will say I have ran everything low budget to mid budget. Never ran high like JL, Alpine HDZ (had lower series), Hertz, image dynamics, etc but I have heard about everything installed by professional tuners. I heard a system all of that cheap DS-18 audio with speakers everywhere not so well housed but goodness did it not sound flawless!! So I’m very fair. My impression of NVX is quite high for budget car audio. The little 500 mono I have sounds very good (sonically not just clear) the sub is one level from the lowest. It’s still hits deep (for an 8) and clear. I have it in an old Scion TC. I also have NVX V series components up front and N series in the rear hooked to a Skar amp. Sounds better than Pioneer, Kicker, Mid to low Rockford mids and highs (not subs overall), low grade alpine and even mid infinity. Honestly I would be very interested in pairing some of their micro amps with some high budget components and coaxials. If everything continues as advertised I would love to try some of their high end X series subs, amps, and components. Great outstanding budget subs!! I would call this particular series I bought on par with abou Punch P2 maybe a little better. Their VCW series I think it is sounds awesome. I would place them above JLW3. About a little behind Image Dynamics mid level in SQ but definitely above in SPL!! And they have big power amps pulling above rated power, not much bigger than an IPhone, and pulls very little electrical power!! If you don’t want to spend a ton of money I would definitely give NVX a whirl I’m beyond pleased from what I expect for the price point.

Great!!
Figured I’d take a shot given the price. Was not disappointed. People don’t believe it’s just 2 8’s behind my seat.

Awesome for the price
$79 each for 500rms, that's hard to beat. I'm using my two 10s in a home stereo application and they sound fantastic. They hit the lows pretty damn good. Just like with all subs, give them proper clean power and a good box and it'll sound excellent

Bang for your buck 💪
Amazing subs for the price ,good clean deep bass and handles the power. Running a 1800 rms monoblock amplifier on then and they don't skip a beat. I strongly recommend 👌

Best bang for your buck
I'm really impressed by this $75 sub.I have 2 in a 1.88cf box ported tuned to 39hz and these sound really good and hit pretty decent as well. Not sure how long they will last. If you're just looking for sq, and having nice sounding bass, these are perfect. I'd suggest a 1000watt amp if running 2 of these subs. I'm running 2000watts in my car, which is why I said Idk how long they will last.
