I really like these simple, but still ornamental, posts. We bought them to build a low garden fence that separates our dog (and his deliveries) form a portion of our lawn. We're looking forward to having an area we can use without worrying about poopy shoes or dead patches. The posts are fairly heavy, but are not very tall. We installed 1/2-inch pvc-pipes in the ground, then slid the post into the sleeves. That way when we want to mow we just slip the posts out of the PVC and run the mower over the top, then stick them back into the pvc-sleeve when everything is neatly trimmed. Before installing the pvc-sleeves we had the posts driven directly into the ground, by covering the head with a thick towel and banging them into the soil. They didn't bend or divot. We used a welded wire mesh fence panel that's high enough (24") that our short, but determined, corgi can't clamber over.

This looks nice, seems sturdy, but we returned it. For the amount we needed, it was going to be too expensive a project.

I had previously purchased the companion fencing and post for a flower bed at a discount store. Unfortunately I did not buy enough pieces at the time and needed one more. Ended up paying twice as much for the fence piece and post this time but they look great, and are sturdy. With a little black netting woven through the bottoms it keeps the bunnies out! Also very pretty at night with solar lights strung through them. Nicest fencing I've seen.

They do what was advertised.

The fencing itself is nice. I give it only three stars because of the manner in which it arrives. Multiple sections had finials broken off in the box. I can glue them, but.... Each piece of fence was packaged in a separate box which seems like an enormous waste of cardboard. The posts however were all packed into one box with no padding around them, and every single one had the paint chipped off the head of it. So the first hour of installing it meant going to the hardware store to buy some Rustoleum black spray paint to fix them. Seems like they would come up with a better way to package and ship them. Once they are up, they do look nice. I think the quality will be good for long term.

Have two dogs. A small 5 pound one and a large 60 pounder and this fence keeps them in with no problem. It was put up in minutes with no hassle and it stays up. I have already bought more to enlarge the yard area now that i know it works so well.

I wouldnt buy them again . Their hollow . Not really standing up very well to the elements either . The price was good , it jumps up and down from 16 bucks which is what I paid to 35 bucks . Lowes sells a nicer one for 21 bucks .

Cute gate for the price.I like the size - not too small and not overpowering either.It will deter my large dogs from leaving but cats will be able to squeeze through the bars.As others have pointed out, the only draw backs are:- it will sit on the ground as the rods don't have stoppers.I'll be rigging it in such a way that it will be free swinging, maybe even with a spring to make it return to its closed position.- you will need soft ground for the rods when installing.But again, with some ingenuity another configuration could be rigged, based on the gate's simplistic hinge design.I only paid 17 bucks w/ free prime ship - the rest will be paid in brain power. =)

These poles went with metal railings I bought. Strong, sturdy & look good.

These garden fence/gates are a pleasant surprise, I like them !

Lovely, easy to install fence. Some panels arrived damaged because the packaging was terrible, but the panels that arrived in good condition went up easily. In less than an hour the fence was up and the compliments started. Very simple to instal and looks like wrought iron. We wanted something low profile to keep the dogs in the yard but would not block our ocean view. A wood panel fence would not have achieved that. Amazon was very good at replacing the damaged panels. Very happy with the end results.
