A geniune product that works flawlessly
I am not a plumber (professional or otherwise) and was apprehensive about replacing a shower part I had no idea how to replace and dealing with water & electric, which don't mix well together, but I had a go anyways!!I have a Mira Sprint 8.5kW (J95) shower unit which had a faulty "Flow Valve". The part arrived as described (note: the colour of the replacement unit is light brown and not black). It also came with a installation guide, which I found was easy to follow. Before carrying out any work, I isolated the electric and water feeds. The front cover was then removed (2No screws at the top and 1No below). Before going any further, I look several photo's of the shower unit to ensure that I put everything in its' correct place when re-assembled i.e. cables, etc..You'll need a "Torx" (star-shaped) screwdriver. The following steps were then carried out;1. Remove the shower hose from the unit2. Remove 2No screws to the cover which holds the water feed in place (on the left had side) and pull away the water feed (there will be a rubber ring at this location)3. Remove the 2No screws that hold the Flow Valve in place and the 2No screws which hold the water tank4. Unscrew the 3No mains cables from the shower unit end5. Remove the flow valve, tank, etc away from the shower unit backing (some water spillage will occur from the water still in the tank6. Twist the water tank towards and away from you until it separates from the flow valve (there will be a rubber ring at this location and a white plastic spring loaded valve)7. Remove the 4No push-on wire connectors from the flow valve remembering where they go back (these could be fiddly to remove and could get damage if not done carefully)8. Get the new replacement flow valve and follow points 1 to 7 in REVERSEIf you are fortunate like me, the replacement flow vale should work flawlessly.

Nearly right
Good response from the supplier, but the design of this item has changed slightly over the years and it needed slight modification to fit. However, once that was done, and it was very easy, the fitted unit has performed perfectly.

Just the job.
Bought this to replace one that went wrong. Arrived well packaged, was relatively straight forward to install and it work well. Definitely a cheaper option than replacing the whole shower unit.

Good value and an easy fit.
I bought this having read reviews. This is an orginal Mira replacement. Fitted easily but note that the filter does not necessarily go into the inlet. With mine, like the one I replaced, the filter goes into the outlet, plastic disk side first.

We can now shower
This is the second time a valve assembly had split, the first time I replaced the shower, 2nd time I ordered this valve, easy to fit being a original part and a lot cheaper than a new shower.
