Fantastic quality for your money!
Very happy with the two sets of shelves that I bought. They are very well made and very strong, a few scuffs on the power coat here and there tho', but that is fine in my view as they are for storage use in a garage or warehouse and don't need to be showroom quality. At least they are powder coated many others I have seen are just untreated. The free mallet and clips were a nice touch and the clips came in very handy and made the units stronger together and look better in a line - The mallet did the job, but it would be better if you bought your own (heaver one) if doing loads of shelves. As for putting them together it was 80% joy and 20% pain - the brackets would either go in with a few taps of the mallet or with a lot of swearing, lucky it was mainly easy to build. I have seen shelves that cost more than these but of lesser quality and shelves that are almost on par with these but cost more at local DIY stores. - I would buy more again with out hesitation

Best I've ever bought
I ordered this because I had previously bought the heavy-duty version from Storage Affairs (as opposed to the extra-heavy duty) and thought the heavy duty ones were very good but extra-heavy range is outstanding. I've bought lots of this type of shelving over the years and this is by far the best. It fitted together smoothly and well. Firstly, the tabs engaged properly (without sticking out the wrong side, which frequently happens - I've often had to use a screwdriver to on the outer edge to force them into the right path. They also went in very easily but fitted snugly and I only had to use a rubber mallet to tap down the last cm or so. Unusually, the shelving came with an enclosed excellent rubber mallet with steel shaft which performed this little task well. Not only did I expect to use my own mallet, but sometimes in the past I have ended up using a ridiculous number of my own tools to coax reluctant shelving to fit together. This time I just needed a screwdriver, as recommended in the instructions, to bend back the tabs of the centre shelf supports. Everything seemed well engineered: no play in the connections; no sharp edges; shelves slotted in perfectly. To be honest, I was taken aback by the ease of the whole process. In future, if this range has the sizes I need I will not bother to look elsewhere.

Good product for price
I purchased several combinations of these shelves after I tried one out. I am building a new workshop and needed decent storage. Prior to ordering these units I purchased a similar (cheaper) product from Screwfix. That was horrible. It was flimsy and a nightmare to put together. In comparison these units are stronger and easy to connect. The final product is VERY acceptable. Also the double triple units come with frame connectors so you can couple them together....nice. Negatives: Being picky the shelf material is potentially the weak point and the shelf hardboard smells a bit. I expect it will go after a while. SUMMARY: Very good product sent quickly and no complaints at all

Probably 4 1/2 stars
Really good with a few small issues. The main issue is getting the tabs in the slots on the shelf supports, I bought three bays and on at about ten of the joints the slot for the tab was to tight and it bent out half way through. The shelves still went together ok but just not as easily as a previous set I’d bought. The feet/ upright toppers only fit the bottom, if you set the top shelf at the very top then it’s impossible to get them on and fit the mdf shelf. Ended up leaving them off and used the bay connectors to space them apart. Finally the head came of the mallet about half way through building the shelves, just pushed it back on but I needed to be carful where it might fly offOn the positive side they are quick to build, about 20 mins a set, really sturdy and look like they’ll last a while. I have a all metal dexion unit from about 25 years ago still as solid as the day it was built which is like a tank in comparison to these shelves, but they cost about three times the price.Overall I’m happy with buying these and would buy more if I needed them

Easy to assemble and neat looking
I have already given feedback on the pack of 4 for these but bought an extra unit. So easy and sturdy, good looking, well finished. Please watch the video before assembly if you haven't done so, it'll save time assembling. Assembly is easy, just ensure the clips are located in the slots by a few gentle taps and once in position, knock them down. If you want to change the position of a shelve they easily knock out again for a different position. You'll not be disappointed with these shelves and once assembled are light weight to move about.I used this one to put at right angles to and existing one rather than buy a corner unit and it worked fine, clipped together and added an wall fixing screw for extra security. You will not be disappointed with these. The free mallet makes it that little easier and makes it all good value for money. I for one highly recommend these.

Much stronger than the cheaper stuff on Amazon
Really pleased with this shelving due to its strength. I’d just bought, from a different supplier, the cheaper type claiming to be able to carry 175kg per shelf, or 875kg in total and weighing 15kg. It was so flimsy and difficult to assemble. I couldn’t believe it could carry the weights claimed. So I looked for something more robust and Storage Affairs were the only supplier I could find. Their unit weighs 25kg, the steel is thicker and the mdf shelves thicker too. It also carries 265kg per shelf (claimed). They were quick to answer my query to confirm too. The whole unit assembled easily; there was even a mallet included.(In case it sounds like I have a connection with Storage Affairs, I haven’t.)The cheaper unit from a different supplier, I’ve returned – not fit for purpose.Anyone thinking of buying this type of shelving, would be well advised to pay the few quid more and get the much better job.
