Digital Thermometer, Adoric Thermometer for Baby&Adult Accurate Basal Thermometer for Rectal, Oral and Axillar

Received this today and tested it the only reason for 4 stars is it takes a good 15 seconds to register a little long for children they get impatient and want it taken away. But as a safety tool well worth the price it had a clear case to store it in easy to just drop in your bag and have at hand.

When I first bought this I followed the instructions and changed the settings to measure my temp in °c the settings have never saved and when you measure your temp when you first wake up and the rooms still dark there’s nothing worse when it lights up and bleeps with °f reading, to then turn the lights on, change the setting and start again, as the backlight only works when it’s had a reading not when you first turn it on ready to use. Getting up turning the lights on and getting frustrated, no doubt then changes my BBT results.

Seems to be like a great thermometer... but I received yday, had a practice and checked the instructions. Turned it off as instructed. Then this morning went to take my temp and it's run out of battery... surely they would put a new battery in!!

Seems ok. But why do all these instruments show 'Lo' battery on receipt?

This item was a refurb. The packaging had already been opened, it smelled strongly of disinfectant, and the battery was so low it wouldn't even work.Only purchase this if a) you're ok with using a second-hand thermometer and b) you're prepared to put in a new battery (it is of course a non-standard one to boot).If not, steer clear away. I couldn't even send it back by post / Amazon locker and have to take the tube to drop it off.

It keeps resetting itself to Fahrenheit and the display is only lit when you switch it on, but goes off right away, so you have to be in a well lit area to read the temperature. Very unpractical.

Great to have a digital thermometer that can switch between C and F because I'm familiar with F rather than C. The other day I needed to check my 4 year old's grand-daughter's temperature and only had an old Mercury thermometer which I daren't use on her. And I could never read those properly anyway :-)
