McIntoshChintz Dark Blue Roses Fine Bone China Java Mug (12.5 oz)

I LOVE this mug. I bought 2 in this Chintz Dark Blue Roses & 2 Light Blue Chintz patterns. I consider these to be somewhere between a capacious cup and mug. They are refined in their design and the quality of the porcelain. They are a huge pleasure to drink from, whether coffee, tea, tisanes or hot chocolate or a hot toddy. McIntosh has this particular design/shape mug in many patterns and colors and some available in sets of two. All of the mugs come in really beautiful matching boxes that make them perfect as elegant gifts. They also offer mugs with stainless steel tea infuser and matching porcelain lid that can be used as a coaster to hold the infuser after brewing.The only thing I wish my 4 mugs had was matching saucer. I really like having a saucer, not just for tea and coffee cups, but for most mugs. I went to Fishes Eddy in NYC and lucked out when I managed to find 4 nice porcelain saucers that fit and work great with the mugs, two are plain white & two have a blue band that matches the dark blue color of the dark blue roses. I'm picky about mugs for my coffee and tea drinking. I really like them to be ample size but to be refined porcelain that is not thick and clunky. The lip edge of these McIntosh mugs is perfect. Drinking from them is a great pleasure. I had a beautiful Victoria and Albert Museum mug that I was crazy about. I bought it here on Amazon. Alas, it got knocked over and the handle broke. I looked for a replacement for many months. I'm so glad I found the McIntosh mugs. They are wonderful!
