Not a UK model – comes with a European power cord – a good traditional 4 band radio however
The Sony ICF-M780SL Portable Radio is a very well featured traditional 4 band radio with FM/SW/MW & LW – no DAB. The Short Wave is intended for the general user rather than World Band enthusiasts and is very straightforward to use with a simple button to easily access the common SW metre bands. Long Wave works better than on many modern Chinese designed DSP radios and you can actually hear the stations, Medium Wave performs well but FM is mono – even with headphones. One thing to bear in mind is this is not a model intended to be sold in the UK – you cannot register it on the Sony website and it is supplied with a European two pin power lead. However there is an English manual included with the many other languages and it is readily available from Amazon's marketplace sellers although the price varies quite a lot. At around sixty pounds I would rate this European Sony ICF-M780SL with five stars – it looses a star for every ten pounds above that but is still a good old-school 4 band radio.

Lovely tone and easy to use
Paid £36 used for this and am very pleased. Rich tone and sensitive receiver - not bad for general SW use, but pity there's no antenna socket. A little pricey new perhaps, but I expect this radio will give good service for decades.

A very good product with good sound reproduction
A very good product with good sound reproduction. Simple to tune & with an 'easy to read' display.My only criticism is that, being a UK customer, the mains lead was equipped with a 2 pin continental type mains plug as against a UK standard 13 amp plug, terminated lead.

Great sounding multiband radio!
Wonderful audio on this radio, and it also can drive an amplifier nicely too. Nice to have MW FM SW and LW all in one set. A great listeners radio which hears many stations very well. Acts like it has a DSP chip, but it definitely has SONY quality build and full clear sound. - FARMERIK USA

Sony does it again! Great sound and Uber cool design.
When we saw the Sony Radio online we immediately liked the upgraded retro design and decided to order it. Once delivered we realised that it had great Sony sound quality and it was very user friendly. As usual the Amazon service was outstanding, we received it much quicker than anticipated. Full Marks!

Good Radio check power supply offered
Portable radio particularly liked the ergonomic handle and easy to set up only issue was power cord issued was EU and not UK so had to get UK power supply and you can’t check when ordering
