they are a good item. The only failing
I’ve used a few of these over time. Generally speaking, they are a good item. The only failing, in my opinion, is that they are very prone to dropping out due to the run and quality of the existing mains sockets. This of course can’t be squarely blamed at the BT item, as other brands would have the same issue with “not A1” wiring conditions. If possible, I would recommend borrowing a set prior to purchase.Having said that, I’ve always managed to find a placement for them, be it, not always in my house.,

Easy to use, almost instant set up - Wireless all over the house.
I purchased this for a family member who's router was in a sitting room of a 3 floor house. The wifi signal would drop out on the 3rd floor, and would not reach to the back garden either. This solution is a great value bundle comprising one powerline adapter device to plug in next to your router (Which doesn't have to be a BT router or home hub, can be any make or model) and two cleverly designed mini hotspots. The cable to plug in between a spare port on your router and the powerline adapter is also included in the box.The two provided mini hotspots have the same SSID (the network ID that comes up when you're searching for wireless networks on your device) If you just plug in and go, that means you'll have two wireless networks, the one on your existing router, and then one from your two plug in hot spots. If you have a compatible router (most BT Home Hubs for example) you can set the hotspots up with a few button clicks to copy the network details from your main router, so you'll only have one wireless network which is the best way to set this up.If your router is not compatible with that network copy feature, if you have advanced knowledge of wifi networks and how to set them up , you can get in to the config menu of the mini hotspots and set them up yourself with whatever network details you prefer. Finally, great feature is the mini hotspots provide a wired connection as well as the wireless hotspot, great for some games consoles and smart TV's without wifi built in, no need to buy extra wireless bridges etc.For the price, a highly recommended purchase, especially for those who already have a BT Hub because the look and feel is identical

Will not buy refurbished again
One of the units had the plastic piece containing login passwords missing. Took ages to set up because although supposedly "Refurbished" had not been re set to factory settings so was unable connect devices till I manually reset which took ages to identify. Shall not purchase "Refurbished " again

Does EXACTLY what it says on the tin (with no fuss or bother)
Easy to set up. compact design, the range extenders even work when plugged into extension strips rather than wall sockets.I am sending this report using a network cable connected from a desktop PC to an extender, plugged into an extension strip and connected (via the mains) to the router at the other end of the house 3 rooms away,. I just tested the speed and I am getting 45Mb/s up and down on this computer compared with 60MB/s down & 45 up on my main desktop rig connected direct to the router via a network cable at the far end of the house. As a PC technician, I can confidently recommend this set-up (and have done so to some of my clients, who have set the systems up themselves unaided and are similarly pleased with the results.)Five stars for reliability, eaqse of set-up and value-for-money!

Works ok most of the time but it's dropped out ...
Works ok most of the time but it's dropped out a few times a year. Not sure whether it's my house with its awful wireless properties - metal used in walls so saps signal, 30 year old wiring - or perhaps this product. The set up process can sometimes work really quick and can sometimes just not work so you end up trying multiple times.Try and set up two of these and they seem to conflict sometimesAll a far cry from using a netgear router which never went wrong.

WiFi in workshop 45meters from router!
Plugged in, took a couple of minutes to power up and configure automatically and works on every domestic socket it has been tried on.Only minus I have found is operating the arc welder can cause signal disruption.
