Product description Paramecium are small one celled (unicellular) living organisms that can move, digest food, and reproduce. They belong to the kingdom of Protista, which is a group of similar living micro-organisms. You might be able to see one as a tiny moving speck if your eyesight is extremely good but for any detail at all you need a microscope to look at and study them. They are relatively easy to maintain and culture and can be kept in a small bottle or jar and fed occasionally to keep it going. Sub-culturing a new culture every now and then is a good idea, to keep the cultures fresh. These are perfect for tiny fry and newly hatched fish. Although we may struggle to see them, small fish are perfectly suited to spotting and catching them and it often triggers the feeding instinct to kick in in some species. You will receive a full 500ml bottle of paramecium culture. You can continue to use this size container, or split the culture into 2 and add to larger bottles, both setups will work equally well.
