I have Osteoarthritis and have tried several lumbar pillows. I had purchased one very similar to this one, but left it at a Hotel. The next one I purchased was lifting my legs up high which made it uncomfortable sleeping. I found this lumbar pillow after searching through pages of them on Amazon. The first night I used it, I slept 8 hours straight. It has memory foam with two layers. I went ahead and took them out and let them air out for a day even though I couldn't smell anything. The first pillow I purchased also had two layers, which I took the thin one out. This one, I left both in. The length is perfect when you sleep on your back or side, so you aren't hauling a long uncomfortable pillow around with you. I use it under my knees when sleeping on my back, and between my knees when sleeping on my side. This is a US sleeping company and donates to rebuilding basketball courts for underprivileged communities, donating books for students in financial aid and more. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because they sent me a barcode for either a free pillow case or 30% off another item. I wanted the case because over time they get dirty. When I filled all the necessary online items, I received a message that they were no longer offering the case.

I use it every night, I'm a side sleeper who recently had lumbar fusion surgery. It was a little too think but once I took one layer out it was perfect.

Soft and firm. I use it so many ways. I love this pillow.

I had been using a rolled-up towel as a PT instructor showed me, but it was either too much or not enough for my lower lumbar issues. It fills the "gap" waist level with just the right amount of support.I don't use the extra piece with it but I can use that to cushion the back of my walker.

Like that this is really adjustable to give more or less support as needed. It really helped with some back pain I was having.

Purchased this for use in the car. Did not think it would help much. I was suprised. It has eased my lower back pain a lot and enabled me to go for long journeys in the car. Still not totally pain free however, it has helped me. I have also used it in bed a few times to support my lower back. I'm considering purchasing another one. I don't regret buying it.

Bit soft for a big guy but nice.

As I've gotten older, the two herniated discs from a horseback riding accident when I was 16 have started causing some serious pain (L4-L5 and L5-S1). Add to that the third herniated disc (L3-L4 -- osteoarthritis + normal wear and tear -- I'm 70 yrs old), and it's probably not surprising that I've recently started having some serious sciatica issues.I ended up getting an adjustable bed (physical therapist's suggestion) and while it seems to help ... some ... I still wake up barely able to move.Saw this, decided to try it (figured it can't hurt). I've been using it for a week now, and it's working great so far. No, I'm not 100% pain-free, but at least I can wake up, SIT UP, and sit on the edge of the bed without agony. It used to take me 15-20 minutes to get from flat-on-my-back to sitting; now it's a matter of a few seconds. And moving around the apartment for my morning routine is much easier, too.I'm a "back sleeper," and I tend not to move around at all while I sleep, so I just position this under my lower back and it stays there until I get up in the morning. I'm using it as it comes -- I didn't have to remove the extra bottom layer as the "rise" fits my back just fine. If you find it pressing a little too hard into your back, you can remove that extra layer and see if that helps.I'm still amazed at how much the pain has diminished just from using this. I'm sleeping so much better and getting up is so much easier. No issues/problems at all. Very happy with my purchase.

He estado trabajando remoto por 2 años y he desarrollado un dolor de espalda fuerte por pasar largas horas en la computadora. Mi silla de oficina era buena, pero estaba buscando algo que me diera ese apoyo adicional cuando trabajo. Leí un artículo que recomendaba esta almohada y decidí darle un chance y WAO! Me encanta que es ajustable en tamaño, porque así la puedo usar con mas soporte en la espalda y menos soporte debajo de las piernas cuando duermo. También mantiene una buena temperatura durante la noche, a diferencia de algunos de los cojines que he usado antes que se calientan mucho. Mi postura ha mejorado mucho estos meses y ya no tengo dolor de espalda, pero seguiré usando la almohada ya que duermo más cómodo. Definitivamente valió la pena el precio de la almohada!

Decent product but full size was too much pressure, and half size was not enough - did not work for me . . .
