We are very satisfied.
I purchased this product, for my elderly father. He has new, progressing neurological challenges, which affect his balance, his standing for long durations of time, and his general bipedal mobility (i.e., anywhere), and, now, he uses a walker, around the house, and, usually, a wheelchair, whenever we are away from his home. To accommodate his mobility challenges, I made arrangements with the barbershop where my father has been a customer, for many decades, and they were kind enough to offer to come to his home, to cut my father’s hair! — i.e., so that he would not have to leave his home, and this offer is also great, because he can, now, still receive future haircuts from the same barbers that know him personally and know how he likes his hair to be cut! We sat my father down, in one of his own comfortable chairs, at home, and, then, I put the hair cutting cape over his head and shoulders, and the barber was easily able to provide a nice haircut, simply by walking around my seated father, as the barber continued to cut my father’s hair evenly, on all sides, and the cape functioned well and prevented all of the cut hair from falling all over the floor at home! The only disadvantage (i.e., this is not the fault of the product, in any way at all) is that, when a haircut is performed at home, you do not get to receive the benefits of all of the large mirrors which are at most barbershops, and so the person who is receiving the haircut has to have faith in other family members / friends who are assisting the hair cutter, in order for an appropriate haircut to be provided, as the haircut recipient would expect to receive — i.e., for his or her own satisfactory appearance. We will continue to use this hair cutting cape, with my father, as long as he has hair to cut!!!! We are very satisfied and we recommend this cape to your family, too, for anyone who has mobility challenges or limitations which may preclude a regular visit to the barber’s chair — e.g., this product may also be a good item to purchase, to have available at your local nursing home or assisted-living facility, since many of these residents may also have mobility challenges and cannot “get out” to the barbershop or hair salon, like they used to do.We also purchased this handheld mirror, so that my seated father can see his hairdo and appearance, before, during, and after his haircuts:Limited-time deal: OMIRO Hand Mirror, Extra Large Black Handheld Mirror with Handle, 9" W x 12.4" L https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07VPPCGL6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_dl_YC6Z2TBJQHV1H8YG8JEV?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Doesn't do its job- literally USELESS!
This thing is absolutely useless. Had I actually put any thought into how the heck the sides, of this hair catcher thing, are suppose to stay up and open to catch the hair- I wouldn't have wasted my money. There's no way for this thing to stay in a catching position. So it just hangs like an upside-down cone unless someone holds it the whole time. If someone DOES hold it the whole time to catch the hair, the wire in it is so flimsy that it loses a lot of the hair while attempting to take the catcher off and empty it. Even being careful as hell! This thing SEEMS like a good thought- but it doesn't do the job its made to do. Take my word for it and spend your money on something useful.

Doesn't help
It's not worth it for self haircut, since you move your hands to do the job , hair will be all over the place . but it may be helpful if someone else does the haircut for you..

Easy haircutting days, here we come!
I like cutting my own hair because 1) not enough moola and 2) a good haircut is hard to find. I've got thin hair so I don't blame hairdressers, but it does make me a dissatisfied customer. Since I started cutting my own hair, even if I do a bad job at least I didn't pay for it, so not so dissatisfied! I Do have a problem with all the little cuts of hair though. The longer cuts are fine, they're easy to place in the garbage. But when finessing a cut to even it out or get the swoop I love, those little bits fly around Easily! This hair catching cape is perfect for those bits And the longer bits as well. Cleaning it takes a little finessing though (cause of those little bits), but that's nothing compared cleaning the counter, the mirror, the floor, my clothes, the sink, the.....Anyway, I love this hair cutting cape, saved me cleaning and lots of time.

Perfect!
As one who styles her own pixie cut hair, this product makes the whole process so much easier. It slips over my head and if one's neck was big enough it could be secured with the velcro fastener (mine in not so I use a document clip). It stayed in place while cutting and caught all of the fine hairs. One has to be careful when removing it not to dump the hair on the floor, but it isn't that hard to manage. I take it outside and shake it out. The ONLY difficult part is refolding it to fit in the carrying sack it comes in. Someone said it refolds like a windshield cover - and it does if you manhandle it enough...you just have to work with it for a bit. But for that little bit of aggravation, I'll still heartily recommend it.

misleading product photo
I wanted the tan product in the main product photo section - the one with the armholes, since I am attempting to cut my own hair. The product I received was grey, with no armholes. The barcode on the bag matched what was on my invoice, and though I tried, you cannot reach up and around the rim to cut your hair. Returning is easy, at least.

Caught all of the clippings!
I used this hair catching cape for the first time today and it worked perfectly. I was a little worried it would spill the clippings at first and was very careful in my movements. By about 5 minutes in, I was not even paying attention to that and was amazed that it did not spill out any of the clippings. It is a thin material, not plastic, but I don't know if thicker material would make it better or make it stiff and not as functional. The fit was good and the arm openings worked well too. Folding it up is interesting... you have to twist it like one and a half times and then just slide it in together. If done correctly, it fits in the included draw string sack. I am glad I found this and would recommend it to family and friends.

Awkward
Unless you have a gorilla neck, this will not prevent the cut hair from falling down your neck....it is way to big to fit snugly. The arm cutouts are a good thing, but...... it is very hard to work with when cutting the back of your own hair in front of a mirror, as it gets lopsided if you bump up against a countertop, and the cut hairs will fallout.
