ClearOne MAX EX Conference Phone

We use the Polycom unit in some of our small conference rooms, and the sound quality is pretty comparable between those and the ClearOne. I have a medium to large conference room that had to be set up with a conference phone. The ClearOne has the edge because of its expansion units, so we can have up to four phones spaced out in the conference room. We are impressed at the crystal clear sound quality, and the fact that the units are quite loud when the volume is turned up. I would not hesitate to purchase more of these units in the future for any of our conference rooms. The pricing on the ClearOne Max Ex helps to tip the scale to its favor.

This doesn't actually work. And I need to send it back. Can you please provide me with assistance on how to do send this item back for a replacement? thank you!

Battery didn't seem to hold a charge after a month. The LCD display is incomplete and not all the lights flash during an incoming call. This "works" while plugged in, but I'll need to get another battery. The caller ID is useless, since the display is incomplete. I got it used, so I didn't have high hopes.

Our condo board needed a conference room phone and, after researching a number of phones, we chose this one.It works very well in the middle of the table with three speakers so that everyone can be heard.Any larger group would require the extra speakers but for our current needs, it is the perfect solution.

Took a bit to set this up on our network. But it works great.

It did not work and the power base has screws or something rattling in it.

When it works, the sound fidelity is on par with Soundstation 2. However, after deploying about 20 of these at work over the past 5 months, we've returned 6 of them as defective. The displays would suddenly start showing gibberish and the buttons not repond or the power supply would melt the phone and the unit would have to be replacedthe UI isn't nearly as intuitive as the polycom UI. There is a function button and you have to have the reference guide In hand to know how to change settings on the phone.The range is decent and we haven't had any issues with that. Many admins will start a call at their desk and walk the phone into the meeting room or the bosses room.

The conference phone performed as we had hoped. The only problem was that people had to ask their questions close to the phone base which we had figured was needed. It was a big hit with people who could not attend our meeting but still wanted to ask questions of the unit commander who is overseas. They both could hear the questions and answers that were given.
