Submersible LED Lights Underwater Vase Base Light Waterproof Remote Controlled Pond Lamps Battery Powered Multi Color Decorative Lighting for Hot Tub Swimming Pool Fountain Fish Tank Garden Decoration

These submersible LED lights arrived in a clear plastic clam shell blister pack that was easy to open. (see pic)Each light took 3 AAA batteries (not included) and the remotes already have batteries installed. The LED light case simply unscrews to install the batteries and is kept watertight using a flexible o-ring. The plastic casing is fairly thick and should hold up well. There is also a metal weight inside to keep it from floating.Once the batteries were installed I was able to control the lights with the remote from roughly 20 feet away. When I submerged the lights in water in a clear pitcher I was able to operate the lights from around 15 feet away. The remote needs to be in direct line with the light so the more obstacles, including murky water, would lessen the remote distance.Also the remote is the same for each one so you could use one to control all the lights.Speaking of water, I submerged 2 of them in a pitcher filled with water and let them sit for a few hours and no water got in. This wasn't a surprise to me as the upper and bottom cases on these LED light pucks are solid plastic so the only place water can get in is past the o-ring.As for the lights, there are lots of options. There are 17 different colors when you include white. You can choose to have just one color or you can set it to change colors, flash, strobe, etc. You can choose 5 different levels of brightness with the brightest being pretty bright at night. There does not appear to be a timer on these lights.The seller claims the lights will run 10-12 hours on a set of batteries so I probably would not use these in a place where they are hard to retrieve. Also there are no mounting holes on these lights so they pretty much need to place on a solid surface. You could use two-sided mounting tape or Velcro to mount them out of water. There is also a metal weight mounted inside each one on the backside so you could mount these puck lights using a strong magnet.I've just put these LED lights to use so I can't yet give you any feedback on longevity, however as with all my reviews if I experience any issues or problems I’ll update this review.Oh, I've also included a picture of the remote and light with measurements.

Although they're waterproof (tested for a few minutes) I've actually used them around the house for various tasks. Here in the midwest the sun has been setting earlier and earlier so I've mounted them above the door outside and will use the remote to light up the area when I need to unlock the door. Most of the colors are bright enough for what I need to do and hasn't been affected by the weather. Currently using a few as decorations for Christmas also since the colors are colorful...lol. Remote is very responsive and hasn't been a problem along with the battery life. Only suggestion is being able to use the controllers for any of the lights, seems they're locked to a specific light.

These were a lot larger than I though they would be but also a great value. The colors they produce are awesome! The piece but the battery has a weight on it to keep them upright. Haven't tested to see if they will go to the bottom yet but either way I still think the 4 lights are a really good deal. Keep in mind that they do require 3 AAA batteries each.

I used them as decoration for halloween. so, I can't speak about the submerging under water feature, but these work great as focus lights (eg. put them in a plater and they give a nice hue to the plant).One negative is the limits on the remote control. eg. i can't get a single color to blink or strobe. Also, in my case, the stobe is more of a fade and not really a strobe.

These worked great at first but they go through batteries very fast! We are using these to light up some halloween decorations at night. I turn them on when it gets light and turn them off first thing in the morning. I noticed that the batteries would last each light a few days but now they dont even make it through the night without the lights going completely out. These are so awesome but I am replacing batteries like crazy!

These are really nifty lights that can be used in so many different ways. I put mine in the fish tank and although I have other lights also these add a variation to what I have. I also look forward to using them in the bottom of vases among other ways. It didn't come with much of a instruction manual but a person can easily figure it out.I would reccommend these. Great value for a set of 4 with remotes.

These lights are pretty cool to have if you're into decor/center pieces, or just for fun. 4 lights, comes with 2 remotes to control the colors. My wife will be able to use these for when she does center pieces for her events. Just make sure you have lots of batteries!!

We purchased these for an indoor water fountain. They work for about 30 seconds - the colors do not turn on as advertised and it becomes a total fight. I've given up. Don't waste your money, time or energy.
