Do i need the bottom bar for it to stay up?

You don't need it but if what you're hanging is heavy, I would recommend using it because it's not to sturdy without it.

Not much. We got a 10x8 vinyl step and repeat and I wasn’t impressed with it.

Missing leg/base for backdrop kit

I would send it back, however if its something you lost and not the vendor use a cement block. I added one to each side to be able to use heavier curtains

No. It doesnt have the extra holed or support to add a cross bar.
