Jigtech JTP6000 Pro Case

The carpenter who fitted most of the doors in our hose during refurb used the Jigtech kit and I was most impressed with the speed and accuracy of the fitting - it seemed a breeze. So, when I had another door to do I decided to DIY and purchased the kit for myself (well, for my Grandson who was doing the heavy lifting here!) and indeed it was a breeze. So simple to use and accurately drill the required holes and fit the handle and bathroom lock - 5 minutes and done! Jigtech do a great range of handles so being tied in to the system was not a problem for me, but it is worth being aware of this restriction.

If you’ve got a few doors to hang and add furniture then this is a no-brainer - I had 7 new oak doors to hang and this really does only take 5 minutes to install the lock and handles. I also purchased the handles here on Amazon from Jig Tech and they are also excellent quality and gives a very professional look.

Bought this as others stated that it's makes your life easier well that's not the case it has good things about and bad things about it I saw the latches and I said wow they look smart and you get different latch keeps but not that impressed to say the least ended up going back to what I knew old school it's ok but I think I will sell it on lol

There is too much play in the hole guides especially the edge for latch mortise.Great care required to get a moderately ok finished fit, this makes it slower than the advertised 5 minutes per door.22mm hole saw missing from the supposedly brand new kit.

If you’re not a carpenter this is a god send. Great results with minimal diy ability. Instructions supplied are very poor but after the 1st door everything comes clear.Simple and easy system. Far cheaper here than the high street.

The latches locked in close position after 1.5 years of use! The latch would not disengage even with the handles and all the pieces fully removed, the latches are still locked solid even now removed. The first latch broke and locked our daughter in the through lounge with us up stairs, I had to jump in and out of windows to gain access to remove the assembly, then Sunday 1st December, sunday dinner cooking and the latch to the kitchen went exactly the same way, luckily I was able to get to some tools this time and quickly smash the latch out, now we have 2 ruined oak doors and frames, it could have been a lot worse. I have now removed all of them from the house!
