Heats great, doesn't cooldown well
This oven works great on the heating side. It gets to temperature according to the profile, and heating seems to be even. I have not experimented with the outer edges. The only knock is that it doesn't follow the profile cooling. The fan does not seem to move air out of the unit. It gets down to about 120C with the profile, then starts lagging. The alarm goes off when the temperature is ~ 50C above the profile. I have to shut the profile off and open the door. This also means I have to wait a while until it's cool to start another set of boards. It does its job, much like a teenage ... functional, but sloppy!

Very Inconsistant
I have only had success with this reflow oven with small boards that don't have any tall components. Taller components will get too hot. Larger boards will have inconsistant heating.

Not so good
It works with the 183C solder paste OK, but if you would like you use the 230C solder paste, it may struggle, the solder paste doesn't melt properly, have too resolder with a heat gun manually.

Bought this to help make fast work of a few electronic projects. Been in the i dustry for over 20 years so reflow is not new, doing it at home is. Was really impresssed with its capabilities. Replaced the masking tape with kapton so no crazy smell. May hack the fw, but the out of the box profiles worked well. Used a thermistor to check temps, it was close enough. Several projects later i can honestly say it was a good purchase.
