Excellent dip stand, especially for the price
After assembling and using the product, I can confirm it is well worth the price. It's comparable to units selling at Amazon for over $200 not including shipping, and this was only $118 including shipping. Do not compare this to portable units or dip bars that are added as an afterthought to so-called 'power tower' products. This is a proper sturdy stand-alone dip bar. Pair this with a good proper pullup bar or rings, either standalone or ceiling mounted, and you have a complete gym. Of particular note with this unit is the diameter of the grip. It's slightly larger than most other units selling at Amazon, and even smaller hands will appreciate the difference. The foam padding is comfortable to use but not so cushy that you will have issues with proprioception or feel disconnected from the bar. The height is another great feature as it allows you to maintain a proper hollow position, keeping your legs mostly straight, or add weight via a hip belt and plates if you choose. I would add weight by hooking a kettlebell on my feet or perhaps using a vest, but the belt and plate option can sometimes be easier to find and many people are accustomed to that method. The unit is plenty sturdy to allow me to do hollow position or L-sit position dips with no issues or concerns, something I can't say for other units. Whatever your dipping style, preference, or size, you (and your wallet) will like this dip stand.Assembly was easy. Don't overtighten the nuts and start bending the metal. I oriented the crossbar with the logo facing the short side of the base and the short side of the handles so that the short side had the narrower gap and the long side wider. It's possible to assemble it somewhat wrong, I suppose, so take your time and pay attention to how things fit together. Long side = wide side.

Wow! An incredibly well made dip station for a very, very good price. Solid as a rock.
I've used dip bars in gyms both at work and a local Gold's. They are a great tool, and having one at home is something I've always wanted. I'd been looking at various models for years, but never committed due to uncertainties about the product. Reviews were never consistently positive. Once I stumbled on to the XMark I found a video online and decided to try it out. In the video compared to all of the other potential versions on Amazon, the XMark looked more stable. I have to say that when the package arrived, even before opening the box, I knew I probably made the right decision. The unit was packed very well in a nice box, similar to what you would get buying from a sports equipment store. The unboxing was easy, as was the assembly. As I was assembling the product I was impressed with the solid feel of all the individual parts. Once assembled the dip station was rock solid. For the price this dip station is an incredible value. There is a lot of steel here, and it is made to last. I own a few pieces of Nautilus brand equipment and this dip station is every bit as strong as my other pieces. The gray matches our Pacemaster treadmill perfectly. The finish is very good durable, and flaws in the paint and welds are extremely minimal and only an anal person like myself would even notice them! The height is rather tall (I'm 5 foot 9 inches), but using the center bar to step up to the hand rails works very well. The only improvement I could see to this dip station is adding a non slip pad to the center bar as it will be used as a step for most individuals.Rock solid dip station and an incredible value for the solid, commercial-like build.I highly recommend this for anyone who has a home gym in need of a dip station, or for anyone looking to add a dips to their workouts.

Awesome Dip Station
I don’t write reviews too often, but I felt as though this product deserves it. I’m really impressed with this dip station and so glad I purchased this specific one. What a lot of people don’t realize when performing dips, is how important the width of the bars is. You want to try to get the bars as close to your shoulder width as possible for proper engagement of your triceps. This specific dip station has one of the narrowest bar setups I could find and it works fantastic. It’s very solid, yet light enough to move around and has no “wiggle” when performing dips. You can perform dips from either side and the bars slightly curve out so you can go more narrow or wider if you prefer. The one thing to note when initially building (which is very easy and straightforward) is which direction the cross bar goes. You want to make sure the logo is facing the shorter side of the bars. If you look at the pictures I attached, that’s the front (no logo). The directions never mentioned this, not a big deal but something to note. Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with this purchase and would highly recommend it!

The ultimate dip station for home use
I don’t have room for a Power Tower in my basement, so I was looking for a dip stand that was robust and tall enough to do dips properly - I’m 6’3” and 220 lbs. All the research pointed to this equipment. It is a hefty, durable looking piece of kit. Your standard Power Tower has fixed, very widely placed dip handles, which would aggravate old rugby injuries I have in my shoulders. This stand is so much better because of the way the handle bars angle inwards, allowing the user to find a position that is either more comfortable, or better able to target specific areas in the tricep, shoulder or chest muscles. Every review site I checked for 'best dip stands', had this model at the top of the list. I can attest to the fact that they were spot on! If you’re tall like me, you won't have to worry about your knees dragging on the floor when your triceps are parallel to the handle bars. This was a major concern of mine when considering equivalent offerings in the market (sight unseen), that typically adjust to a max of 35” in height. This dip station is fixed at 49.5”. Perfect! Putting it together was straightforward, though I think XMark could help non-technical types by labeling the bolts by type - carriage bolts, hex bolts and button bolts. Otherwise, very happy. It feels like it could support a tank! I hate buying junk. Trust me, this is anything but.

Love it !
Almost went with the slightly bigger and 2x priced Body Solid model, so glad I got my XMark ! Arrived quickly in 5 days via free shipping fed-ex in perfect condition. They really package this thing great, all done methodically and perfect, making it a breeze for me and one of our cats to put together in around 20 minutes. Especially like the pre-labled small parts blister pack, so you don't have to lose items or figure out what is what.I looked at a lot of reviews and researched a lot before going with the XMark. At 6'2 270ish I didn't want to break and buy again or have some wobbly garbage. This beauty makes me feel safe on it. It's VERY stable, and plenty of clearance. Large enough to handle all you need to with your movements and weight up to 400lbs., yet it doesn't take up a huge footprint. So glad I went with this instead of a power tower, as I now realize that the P.T. is not only bigger but you can't do the dip excercises as well as on a true dip station like this. And the handles are really comfy as other reviews have said. I didn't realize how important this is until use, as it enables me to do the excercises much easier and better than smaller and unpadded grips like on my gym's commercial power tower where I couldn't even do any dips at all on.So I got this not able to do even 1 dip and started with holds, and within a week I could knock out around 6-7 reps ! Since then I've had a few months and can do several sets of 2 types of dips and will soon need to add weight with a dip belt, which thankfully this baby can handle ! On this you can also do a modified pull-ups, and use to anchor for band pulls. I am so happy with the quality and comfort of the XMARK, a great lifetime investment for minimal cost.
