Egoway Laptop Battery for Apple A1175 A1150 A1211 A1226 A1260 MacBook Pro 15"

So far so good.I have an a late 2008 (rhymes) MacBook Pro, have routinely needed to replace the battery every 3 years it would seem. The first time around I went to Apple and got a legit "Apple MacBook Pro" battery, logo and all. This time around, given the $159 price tag for an Apple version, decided to go with the less expensive route.Of all the non-apple branded batteries for the MacBook Pro this seemed to be the least sketch. So far, it's proved itself worthy. Came encased in bio-hazard "if opened do not transport" plastic housing and box. I put it side by side with my original Apple version and they looked the same in every way (minus the logo). Fit into the Macbook Pro seamlessly, when turned on the Mac acted normal and held a charge of 85% for the night. It slept until the next morning where it remained with a 70-some battery life through a good chuck of hours at work until it drained itself.All in all, it was a good fix for a battery that was completely useless. Now I can use my laptop like a laptop and not be stuck to my power cord. But hey, it's only gonna last for some many cycles. Long story short: it fits and it works :)

Have had this battery installed for a little over a week now and it is working well and I have had no problems whatsoever with the battery or the computer itself. I did condition the battery after I installed it as recommended by Apple for my model laptop. Since it was shipped in the winter I did not install it until the battery reached room temperature. The battery did look a very little dented in on the non-latched end and just a skosh (1/8 mm) smaller than the original but it makes good contact and latches in fine and has been working so I don't think it will be an issue. If it becomes one I will update this review. For the price I am quite pleased with this battery and would order it again.

Works well and hold s a charge well. Slight issue in that the size is a LITTLE big. So when trying to get the battery back out, you kind of have to use a paper clip or the like to help wedge it. But really not that big a deal.12/31/15 -My review amended: Battery stopped holding a charge completely a few weeks ago. Took forever to find ego way info on website to return per their 1 year warranty. So fay they have not gotten back to me. Didn't even work correctly for 9 months? Not a great experience.

My previous two batteries both swelled up and made me afraid for me life. So I ordered this one, which looked like a decent quality replacement. When I received it, the metal plate on the top of the battery was already lifting off. In included a picture. It seemed like it was already swelling. I don't know if it was merely a construction fault but I sent it back. The one I received as a replacement exhibited the same problem, although not quite as bad. I didn't feel like sending another one back so I just kept it. We'll see how it turns out. For just $15 more I could have ordered an Apple original so I will probably do that next time. I have another MacBook Pro of this vintage running a replacement Apple battery that doesn't show this problem (although I know it will eventually swell).

The battery smelled strongly of glue right out of the box. Upon inspection, the top cover was separating from the battery under which the glue could be seen. This appeared to be cosmetic in nature and not due to the battery internals itself but was highly disappointing to receive in this manner and I was not about to risk even plugging this battery in. Lastly, the "aluminum" itself did not come close to matching my laptop unlike other replacement batteries purchased. The panel material did not appear to be metal and there were obvious gaps at the edge so that it would not have been a clean look when installed in the laptop. I was highly disappointed and promptly returned.

I finally received my battery! It had to be carried overseas and then go through 3 more handoffs and couriers to reach me! But I got it. It was nicely packed, looks to be new and fresh with no nicks nor scratches. I put it into my MBPro. It fit nicely. A lightest movement noticed, but good. I proceeded to charge it up. First try, it didn't read the plug. Second, it did. So it charged. I used the computer and then let it sleep overnight to see if there would be big loss of power, but there wasn't. I have not used it with any heavy apps, like photoshop, etc.... Just running websites online, so far. It appears to hold the charge pretty well. I'd say, so far, it discharges medium timing. I gave it a 4-star only because I have not used it long enough to truthfully reply about the battery life and discharge time . When I use it more, I may change my stars. But, I am replying now because I have received so many requests from Amazon to rate this, that I am. So far I am satisfied.

A Very Nice Battery. Fit perfectly and is well made. I'm glad I trusted the reviews for this battery which is so hard to do these days. This battery works like a charm and is as good a quality as the original OEM battery. It's about time someone makes batteries that work well at an affordable price that the 85% of Americans struggling to make ends meet can actually afford. Shipping was fast (Prime of course....love it,) and packaging was superior. This is a trustworthy buy.

Looks like Apple original and fits perfectly. Arrived a week ago and was 95% charged. Performed deep discharge and it lasted over 3 hours. Then charged and deep discharge again with about the same life. This 6 cell battery won't hold the energy of the original 9 cell battery, but since Apple is no longer supporting the 2008 MacBook Pro, this is the next best thing. I haven't had it for long, but it should be fine.
