Genuine OEM BMW Apple iPhone 4 Media / BMW APPS Version Snap In Adapter

Based on all of the reviews I knew exactly what the capabilities of this device would be. Given that, it met or exceeded all of my expectations. I leave my old iPhone 4S in the adapter and supply wifi through a personal hot spot. This gives me full access to BMW Apps and of course charges my phone. The main reason I bought the adapter was to use the Plugin feature and it did not disappoint in this respect. I really like the iPod interface supplied through the Plugin feature.

The adapter was such a waste of money that I paid to have it returned. I have a 2014 335i and it did not add any useful functionality over the standard Bluetooth interface. My disappointment in the adapter was largely due to my high expectations for the product. BMW does not do a good job letting customer understand what to expect by adding the adapter

I like everything about this adaptor except.....I don't like taking my iPhone out of its case to insert it into the adapter. Other than that it works great.

This item is what I needed to my X6. Now I can charge my iPhone 4S and even watch iPhone movies and it is possible to use the roof antenna for a better phone reception. A little bit expensive. That is the reason for not giving 5 stars.

I love this gadget. It is incredible how it is the integration between my BMW 118i and my iPhone 4s. It works flawless and amazing.

Just buy this device for my BMW X5 and it fits perfect on the car and with my iPhone4S. Only issue: I have not figure it out how to transfer the music to the car without using the bluetooth, it was supposed to transfer it via the snapin adapter, I am using the bluetooth connection so, no big deal...

Pretty useless really - all it does is charge the phone and connect to car aerial. No access to phone book which you do get on Bluetooth. No access to iTunes, you can only play music from the phone using a lead in the headphone socket which you can't access while the phone is in the cradle.

Posting this in case it helps someone, this connecting an iPhone thing can be a bit complex with different options on the Mini and different adapetrs - I have a '62 plate Mini with the full Bluetooth audio pack (with armrest to house this adapter) - I have the Radio Boost CD (not Visual Boost or Mini Connected) so have the large speedo with the radio display at the bottom.I bought this unit for my iPhone 4S and both music and phone work perfectly, all controlled by either the radio controls or the steering wheel controls. My car has options 6NE (Full Bluetooth with USB) and 6NF (Telephone USB audio interface).Snap in is marked 'Music'Not cheap but it's a neat, tidy and good solution. Delighted with it!
