The sq12 camera records decent video at 30fps, a good little camera for quad freestyle for personal use, or as a small security camera. There are a couple cons, when you go into record mode all lights are off, it tells you it's recording by flashing 3 times then off. Also both the red and blue led are in the same hole. It should have one hole per led, and a third green led would be nice to know it is recording. There are plenty videos on you tube for instructions.

The quality is not high definition 1080p but it certainly works. I found that the video files would occasionally not save correctly and were unplayable. While moving the image is very shaky. i’m sure this would be ok if it stands still

The media could not be loaded.  I bought this camera for our trip to Greece. I wanted something that we could use for underwater videos and just everyday videos. This camera was wonderful for what we needed and was only a fraction of the price of the more popular brands. I must admit, this is our first action camera, so we don't have anything to compare this camera with, as far as performance goes, but this camera totally worked for us, and we had a mirror-less camera that we used for high quality photos. The only problem I had with this action camera was that I was unable to tell whether or not it was actually recording, I had to wait until we were back to the computer to see if it actually captured what we were trying to film(we left the instruction booklet at home). But, for the price it was only a minor issue.

I got several of these cameras to try and add some security around my home. I spent some time on YouTube checking out tutorials on how to set these cameras up. I followed all the instructions step by step and none of the cameras worked as I wanted them to. They work and seem to work well but the motion detection feature didn't function as I had hoped. The camera detected motion and started making videos but then it did fifteen minute segments one after another until the battery ran out of power. Very disapointing.

I've ordered around 5 mini cameras of varying types and this one I'd say is the best. I'm picky when it comes to finding good cameras, and the unique wide zoomed out angle is what I was looking for as the ones I own tend to be too zoomed in for my taste.It comes with a waterproof case which is a nice addition, and as tiny as it is being the same size as the Sq10 model, the rubber casing makes it even lighter. It's a steal for the price and did the job better than some cameras that were twice the price by bigger name companies.

Focus ability was very poor

Pretty cool, a nice option for an action camera, this one does record in high definition, pretty good relation between cost and quality. Recommended for starters.
