Healthy way to get my chocolate fi, UPDATED
UPDATED: 06/11/2022 After years of eating these they now get a hard pass, the recipe has changed, they are 1/3 of daily sugar intake, and the cost has tripled in 3 years! I make my own now! Much healthier and way cheaper, still taste good.I've tried a lot of natural non-GMO and organic bars. I don't care about gluten and I'm not a vegan, but I do care about flavor. The fact is most of them make me forget my good intentions because they taste like cardboard. These do not! I've shared them with friends and family and everyone has liked them. I'm not going to lie, there's a little bit of an odd flavor when you first start eating them, but it is not bad just different. There's two of them in this little package about the size of Fig Newtons. When I first opened it I was like dang these are tiny. However, they are very fiber dense and definitely take the edge off your hunger while satisfying a sweet tooth. On a funny note I gave a couple packages to a nurse at work who normally only has a bowel movement once or twice a week and she confronted me a couple days later because these made her regular. For the record they didn't have that effect on anyone else. Nature's Bakery does make a non GMO, organic version of these, but it hasn't been available for several months. You can get put on the alert list to be notified when they are available again; not sure what happened with that.

I think these are delicious
I was shopping for Nature's Bakery fig bars (I always keep a couple of flavors around the house) and these showed up in my recommended items. I was interested, so I bought them.I happen to love these. For what it's worth, though, I have been counting calories this year and haven't had many desserts because of that, plus I stopped eating refined flour and switched to whole grains a few years ago. So this review is reflective of my personal experience and I may not have the same tastes as others. That being said, I will be buying these often. (When I have a few calories left at the end of the day, after dinner, I will allow myself some type of snack or dessert.) They are a little dry compared to real brownies, the way I make them, but the texture is definitely acceptable for a packaged dessert. They do have a lot of date paste in them but they don't taste like date bars, which I am thrilled about. (Too many snacks with dates in them taste only like dates. These definitely have chocolate flavor.) I also detect a hint of something like almond extract, though I can't find that on the ingredients list (it may be under the umbrella of "natural flavors").These have about the same calories and other nutritional information as the fig bars (so, 90 calories per one-ounce brownie, or 180 per package since there are two brownies in each package). They're vegan and soy free but they obviously contain wheat. They're a little high on sugar but I think that's mostly natural sugar from the dates (and to be fair, they are a dessert).Anyway, glad I took a chance. I'm a fan!

These are fabulous!
They are moist, I like to leave them out to air a bit, crunchy brownies. The flavor is awesome, yummy chocolate without that fake chocolate flavor, and none of that GMO crap either.Good for chocolate cravings.

Hey you! This bar is great
I have a massive sweet tooth but am also a health conscious. That doesn't mean I don't eat what I like, I try to find products that fit into my macros and daily intake and adjust. I am a sucker for brownies but they are calorie dense and most of the times one isn't enough for me. I liked the ingredient list so I gave this a go and am impressed. Now it's not decadent like a regular brownie ofcourse but it does the trick if you are someone who always needs to have a sugar treat at the end of the day after dinner. This is also a great deal imo. You get 6 boxes each having 6 packs . Each pack has two pieces. It's not overly sweet because it's primary sweetened by dates. The cane sugar in the brownie comes from the chocolate. 200 calories is not bad at all and is a low calorie treat if you compare it to those protein bars that are so calorie dense and you get a meagre 10 or 13 gms of protein from it. Get your protein through chicken, egg white , protein powder and use the bar as a treat and ditch those protein bars with so many terrible ingredients. I have said my piece :)

Probably the Best Packaged Product of it's Type I Have Ever Tried
I have to take a handful of medicine every morning when I get up. The only problem with that is that it makes me nauseous if I don't eat something within about 30 minutes. I don't usually eat regular breakfast, but drink a fruit and vegetable-based protein/nutrient powder smoothie later in the morning. I found that the ingredient list on these was good and was blown away by the taste and texture. The taste is rich, satisfying chocolate that makes one want to let it dissolve in one's mouth while savoring the flavor and texture. They do what I need them to do and do it in a fairly healthy way. One measure that I have of a product like this, especially as the first thing I eat in the morning is; will it trigger a hypoglycemic attack? I have been using them for a couple of months now and have not had a single attack, and that is saying something. I am very happy with this product.

Good Product
Good snack during the day. We were looking for something with national ingredients. It doesn't have a lot of sodium or sugar as compared to other items in this category.

Read the whole review, there is so much amazing detail
As soon as I tried these and read the ingredients, I had to write a review because there are absolutely magic. Okay so let's dig it. The flavor is exactly like malt-o-meal so right off the bat you're thinking "wow this is terrible, it must be good for you" and to add to that thought, as soon as you swallow your mouth is so dry you get the feeling that dry flour has just coated your mouth. Wow. Just disgusting! Five stars already, I know. But this is the best part, are you ready? These have more calories, sugar, carbs AND fat than a serving of M&M's! I know right??? What kind of sorcery is this??? Five stars all around
