Theese brushes have lovely fine bristles and would be suitable for larger pieces of artwork

I'm a professional Painter and Decorator with 37 years experience, these are the best brushes available for oil based paint, take a good while to break in, but when broke in they are perfect.

I have given 4 stars here, as the brush I ordered was 1.5 inch (37mm) although it arrived as a 1 inch (25mm). I spoke with the stockists and they very helpfully are going to refund me some of the cost. (I will update later in the week if this has happened). The brush itself is superb. Very easy to use and the bristles hold the paint well. Shame the wrong size was delivered, but the follow-up compensation makes up for that I hope?

Great brush for cutting in around plugs, skirting and ceilings and very easy to clean when used with emulsion very easy to get straight lines with and gets a very nice coverage on walls.

Always purchased cheeper brushes but got this one for painting my kitchen cabinets in chalk paint- well worth it- applied easily, great finish and easy to clean.

High quality brush, achieves a flawless finish

Thought I'd try a pure bristle in the search for a perfect finish, but this brush hasn't given me that. The bristles tend to splay and fall out more than any synthetic I've bought. I've used it with water-based paint, so maybe that's part of the issue. I wouldn't buy another one. The one thing I do like is that it washes easier than synthetics.

hamiltons used to be brilliant once upon a time. for some reason they change the bristles and reduced the quality, still better than others but not as good as previous versions.usd to take months to break one in now its just weeks. still my go to brush
