Dried Ginger - 1kg

This product is great for a sweet or for putting in cookies and cakes. The taste is sweet and the consistency is like that of a fruit pastille. But a reviewer of this product, JohnL, recommended this for tea and it makes just about the worst ginger tea I have ever tasted. Fresh ginger, dried ginger flakes, or even powder makes a better ginger tea than this. So, if you want a ginger taste as a pastille sweet or for your baking then buy this product and you won't be disappointed. It is great for that purpose. But if you want ginger tea, then listen to me, not JohnL, like I did.

I’ve had no-added-sugar dehydrated ginger, and loved it, so when I saw this at such a great price I couldn’t resist, but I feel it should really be sold as crystallised rather than dehydrated. Now if crystallised ginger is what you want, then I can’t fault it, five stars. I do love crystallised ginger, but I’m supposed to avoid sugar and sugar is second on the ingredients list (74% of the finished product). And you know how it is with this stuff once you start eating it, willpower goes out of the window.

Very nice as I like ginger. Mainly bought it for using in cooking. Can be eaten as is but very sweet so not too many.have dropped a couple of bits in tea and it's great. Could be used in curry's stir fry and even desserts or baking.will definitely order more.

Very disappointing it is sugar coated not like suggested free of added sugar
