DO NOT BUY, BROKE WITHIN A FEW WEEKS!!
I bought this off the back of good reviews a few weeks ago. Last week I notice that the glass had cracked badly (pic 1) and yesterday it broke completely (pic 2). I have barely made 20 cups with it. Absolute disgrace and a total waste of money.

Fell apart after 10 uses
It looks really nice but it's not good quality, or at least the unit I got isn't. It worked fine for a few uses, then the mesh part started to detach from the metal. Then the plastic rim filter part detached as well. Pretty much all of the internal elements fell apart and I use this very rarely, like 10 times total at this point. Disappointed!

Good Quality Cafetiere
I bought this after my Bodum cafetiere suffered a glass breakage (my own fault for being generally heavy handed) and felt like being adventurous and trying a different brand. I would've bought a replacement glass jug, but these are almost as pricey as a new cafetiere, and I saw quite a few complaints about poor fit, so thought I would opt for a new cafetiere instead.I've had it for a few months, and so far I am impressed with its durability and quality for the price. I use it at least twice a day to make strong coffees, and the plunger assembly and mesh is still in very good shape. The holder for the glass is strong and seems a little more rigid than the Bodum one did. I opted for the cool grey colour, and the finish is high quality. I haven't noticed any chipping or flaking. The mesh and plate holding it in unscrews to make cleaning nice and easy. Unlike previous cafetieres I've used, the end of the spring doesn't protrude annoyingly over the top of the mesh, which could cause scratches on the glass, or allow grounds to get in your coffee when plunging. The design of the top of the plunger also impressed me. It's a nice wide knob that allows you to get plenty of purchase for when you're pushing the plunger down.If you're serious about your coffees, I can wholeheartedly recommend this cafetiere to you.

Excellent, just excellent
I very much like this coffee maker, which is just the right size of a mug and half of coffee. It is well made, the glass is removable for washing up, the colour is very pleasant, and the plunger works every well.I have used a lot of cheap Cafetieres over the years, and have to say you can tell the difference both in ease of use with this one, and also the filtering of the coffee which is better meaning less sludge at the bottom of the mug.Recommended,

A great looking cafetiere, perfect for home use
This is a really nice cafetiere. It has an understated, retro style, and the coloured metal is a pleasant pastel; it makes a change from the usual business-like black and silver cafetieres, and blends into a domestic setting far better. The metal housing is robust, as is the glass container, and the filter seems to do the job well, with an easy plunging action. You may find when cleaning you need to occasionally remove the glass container from the housing, as coffee grains can become trapped between the two. The only downside is the handle - whilst sturdy, the edges dig in a little when the cafetiere is full; a thicker, rounder handle would make gripping it more comfortable. Aside from that minor criticism, I'm very happy with it.

Not the quality I hoped for
Bought this to replace a £12 cafetiere from Wilko which was great, only i smashed the glass by mistake :(This one looks nice and I expected good quality for the price, but the pretty pistachio metal has rusted and the wire mesh is all broken and out of shape. I have only been using this for 3 months. Because it is not a tight fit it lets the coffee grounds in to the coffee a bit. Also the plunger doesn't go down far enough and really squeeze the grounds, so you waste a little bit of coffee every time.Looks nice on pics but I deffo would not by again, the quality is very poor.

Disappointed with quality
I decided to spend a little more on this cafetière rather than buying a cheaper one, because my parents have had their La Cafetière coffee pot for 40 years and I thought I was making an investment that would last. However after only a few months the metal has started to rust, and the glass has cracked despite me taking good care of it. I was also surprised that having ordered the cafetière in pistachio, it was more of a duck egg blue when it arrived. Overall I’m really rather disappointed, and have tried to contact customer services for La Cafetière and Amazon about this to no avail. I’m left with an unusable cafetière, but it seems such a shame just to throw it in the bin. If anyone knows of how I can contact La Cafetière about this directly, please do let me know - I can’t find a contact number or email address anywhere.

Nice.
Nice sturdy little thing. Holds about a mug and a quarter (I am not dainty enough to use coffee cups, which is what the "3 cup" refers to) There is a scoop included, which might be inside the lid of the box or in the cafetiere (I bought 2, so both applied, and nearly missed the one in the lid) Pretty colour, somewhere between Farrow and Ball Dix Blue and Oval Room Blue.
