Good for pool use, but poor for diving
With this case costing as little as [...], compared to £200-300 for traditional hard underwater cases, I thought that I would give it a try - after all, if it didn't work, then I could get a new camera for the price of a hard case. The case is a soft plastic bag essentially with a hard case element and lens for the camera lens to sit in. At the end of the bag, the opening is just large enough to get the camera in. With a Panasonic TZ5 with the lens retracted this task was relatively difficult. With a SLR, the lens would have to be removed and added later. Foretunately the hard lens cover can be removed from the bag allowing you to do this. There is also a lens case extension for a larger zoom lens. The case comes with a foam pad that can be used to position the camera more easily inside the case, ensuring that the camera lens sits correctly inside the lens case. This is relatively easy to position with the camera and makes it much simpler to position the camera correctly within the case. The case is sealed using a three-part system of a plastic 'zip', pressure velcro wrap (long velcroed section that is rolled up over itself to stop water ingress) and then a final velcro flap to hold down the velcro wrap. No individual element appears very secure, but the combination is supposed to work (see later). The case has a shoulder strap attachment that is long enough to act as a shoulder strap or neck strap and positions the camera nealty for taking photos.Being cautious, I tried the case first in the sink and then in the pool. It remained water tight and works well as a waterproof case for cameras with larger zoom lenses. This is the case to use for high zoom compacts such as the Panasonic TZ range (3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10) and Canon's SX200/210. The lens area allows full zoom with these cameras and can be extended to cope with longer lenses for SLRs too. The quality of the images is good as the case lens remains clear and doesn't get covered with water droplets too easily out of the pool. When using the case, the camera lens needs to be positioned in the very centre of the case lens to get a full image - otherwise dark borders can creep into the corners, cropping the shot significantly. With a relatively thick plastic bag around the camera, operating the controls can be a little cumbersome. If using the case in a pool or for snorkeling (i.e. very little depth), the camera is easiest to control if there is minimal air inside the case. The major problem comes when taking the case down to any kind of depth. Although guaranteed for up to 10m, on a 5m dive I noticed a few water droplets inside the case after use. Not ideal, but it did not impact the camera. It is also worth noting that at lower depths, the volume of air inside the case reduces significantly and so if there is very little air in the bag at the surface, the camera becomes shrink wrapped by the case, meaning that it can be very difficult to operate the controls.Worse still, on a dive of 8-9m, the case failed completely. A significant amount of water entered the case and destroyed the camera. Given that the case is guaranteed to 10m, I would expect it to work at these depths and so was disappointed that the old adage of 'you get what you pay for' is still true.Whilst a good, relatively cheap underwater case for the pool or snorkling, it's failure to stand up to any kind of depth is really very poor. The question then becomes, would you trust it to keep your camera safe in any environment? The case is not necessarily the easiest to use, with camera positioning critical to ensuring a full image is captured. Overall, not good and not recommended.

Excellent product, works really well too!
I bought this to take my camera underwater to take photos of the kids, unfortunately the packaging didn't say they had to be your kids and now I have an ASBO and can't visit the local pool anymore
