Good blind, disappointing delivery.
This product arrived in a box that was open at both ends and split in the middle. Part of the blind was also damaged. Luckily it didn't stop us from fitting it and it works fine. It was disappointing to receive a parcel in that state.

Saving my sanity
My windows are on wide side at 6.5 feet and i got the 2000mm x 1800mm blind to test. I took it because i live in a bungalow, my bedroom faces the road, and as there are no street lights, every one living opposite me has a motion sensored flood light on the front of their house which goes off every time a cat, fox, or person walks in the sensor area and it drives me nuts because it wakes me up about 10 times a night. Then of course there are car full beam head lights which frankly i dont know why anyone uses as they all know the lane and drive up it every day. Anyway rant over.So the blind i had was cream, but it's not, its bright white, i would of preferred the gunpowder grey and may actually buy this colour if this blind lasts the distance as the grey would suit my decor better. Now some niggles. My box was delivered by Hermes, crushed to pieces at the ends, luckily my blind wasn't damaged but i think some care could be taken to strengthen the ends of the box. My blind was also dirty along both edges, i managed to get it off with a sponge and fairy liquid but that's really not the point.I managed to fit this by myself in under 5 minutes and I'm a woman. Its so easy. You get a bag with the brackets, covering caps, 5 screws, 4 rawl plugs and some little metal thing that wasn't in the instructions so no idea what it is for.I have a wooden baton above my window because my walls are hollow and you screw anything to them plaster comes reigning down so i screwed this blind under my curtain rail onto the baton so they can be drawn together. I had plenty of space as once screwed in the blind is about 5mm under the curtain pole so its worked out really well. Now the way i did mine was i screwed the right side bracket into the baton 1st, put the blind into it then pushed the left side into the left side bracket and got a pencil and marked the edge of the bracket, took the blind down, screwed the bracket into the baton and put the blind back in. Remember before screwing down the left side bracket to put a bit of force into it to almost push the blind back towards the right side so it doesnt just fall out and that's it job done, oh apart from screwing down the bracket for the chain so its not hanging loose. The other niggle i had was that when i tried to fit the end caps on they snapped so not very sturdy. The blind itself is thick, has minimal light bleeding and that's along the edges and because I've fitted it outside the window recess. The chain is thick and easy to use, blind goes up and down easily but will have creases to begin with until they drop out.At time of review this was Β£65. Im not sure i would pay this as i can buy a decent blind same size for half this. However this has a metal core, not cardboard, the bottom edge is weighted nicely, the brackets are nice and strong and it does the job.Ive attached pictures.Update:September 2018.Having used this blind extensively and with great success throughout this scorchign hot summer, i put the white one in my kitchen, and i bought the gunpowder grey one for my bedroom. The Grey is lovely, its a mid grey and looks great in my purple and grey room. I have been impressed with the quality of these blinds, made very well, the chain is metal, the inside tube is metal and the weight at the bottom of the blind whilst plastic is heavy and not easily bent. The grey one came via dpd from Ireland, and i was happy to support British business.Would buy another.

Safety device was not included - otherwise an excellent product.
We fitted this blind to the batten above the window, which had previously held a curtain rail. As recommended by the manufacturer, we had the minimum 10cm clearance between the edge of the window frame and the blind, to ensure maximum blackout. The light still filtered through a little at the sides, but this was mainly because the window ledge protrudes slightly. The fabric of the blind was excellent β both the quality and its blackout capability. Gunpowder grey is a lovely colour, and the thermal white-coated backing of the blind looks good from the outside too.Fitting instructions are clear, and diagrams and text explain the various options for hanging. Itβs actually very easy to fit. One thing to note is that you must specify which side of the blind you wish the beaded pull cord to be when you order, because you cannot adjust this.We are really happy with the blind and would have given it five stars had the box contained the necessary child safety device for the beaded cord. It was not included in the polythene bag with the end brackets, screws and rawl plugs, though there was an extra screw, which presumably was for attaching the safety device to the wall. As it is a legal requirement to have this fitted, I will buy one.

Lovely quality
I am impressed with the quality of this blind. The internal roll is made of aluminium, not cardboard, and the chain is sturdy chain, and all that fittings are good quality.I received the Grey blind. It is off-white, quite an attractive colour and not dark and oppressive. The blackout capacity is great. No light bleeds through the fabric. Of course, it will come around the edges. And yes, I do believe it will keep the room a bit warmer, too. Which is an added advantage. On the blind I received, the drop measures 180cm pulled down and the width across the top of the window is 200cm.You have three options for fitting: on the lintel, on the side on the frame, or on the window itself. So far β I'm impressed.
