Excellent results
Like many my first fostner bits were the ones you buy as a set for a few pounds. Unfortunately they were not fit for purpose, they wouldn’t cut into the wood properly and got hot. I tried sharpening them but didn’t get much improvement. I finally decided to bite the bullet and spend money on a set of quality fostner bits and decided to go for FAMAG, they weren’t cheap but the results were amazing. Since then I have been buying individual bits to add to my set and this fostner bit is no exception, it cuts through softwoods and hardwoods without any problems and would recommend the FAMAG fostner bits without hesitation. Great product you won’t regret buying

Pricey but does a great job on hardwood!
Cut through sapele 44mm thick very clean and smooth! Razor sharp from the start. Clears timber out of the cut well but one star off for price and also crap at going through MDF - just blocks so it was start stop start stop to manually clear waste. Otherwise really good 👍

Outstanding drill bits.
Already knew Famag as one of the best global manufacturers of drill bits. Proper German engineering. These cut clean and are as sharp as when I first got them, after lots of use. Also don’t overheat and cut brilliantly at slow speeds. Only issue is I now want more Famag bits ... these are outstanding!
