Pretty Fabric
I was looking for a suit with a skirt so I got this one. The fabric is quite pretty and the suit is well made. What I didn't like was the lack of support in the bust. It has those pancake inserts as shown in the second picture. They move around in the suit and don't work for me. I also didn't like the fact that the suit is made in such a way that the skirt slit is wide open and, as a result, does not look flattering on me.

Great pattern for summer, flattering cut, not great for tall women
I ordered the blue and black pattern, which is really pretty and just as bright as the pictures. The cut of the swimsuit is really flattering. My only con to mention is that it's a little tight on my torso (I'm 5'9" and typically wear tankini's for this reason). There is some room for me to loosen the shoulder straps, however that will result in the breast cups going lower than desired. Otherwise, great bathingsuit!

Flattering on less-than-perfect, chubby bodies
I want to show how this bright, colorful, and well-cut Grace Karin bathing suit looks on a real, overweight, middle-aged woman. I'm 5'5" and 175 lbs. I have always been 8 shaped until the last year or so, in which I've gained substantial weight in the midsection. I normally wear a 12-14 in women's tops, and a 14-16/L or XL in women's bottoms. The bathing suit you see in the photos is a size 18. I upsized because I do not like the elastic legs to cut into my thighs; nor do I like the back to ride up. I don't like binding straps. In other words, I like to be comfortable. Upsizing, for me, was the right move.Regarding the suit: the fabric is thick, soft, and high quality, with a substantial lining. There is not a huge amount of stretch - think expensive yoga pant, not the cheapo version. That all translates into a bit of figure-hugging. Stitching is tight and fine (I am an expert at sewing) and I don't expect this suit to fall apart after a couple of uses. This is not that kind of suit; this is more a Maxine of Hollywood quality. The design is very flattering, especially on my lumpy body. The colors are gorgeous. It's the kind of suit you take on a vacation, to make you feel good. As a Vine Voice who received this bathing suit as part of a promotion (this review), it is important that I list any negatives. In this situation, there aren't any, other than my earlier note to consider upsizing for a better fit, if you, like me, don't want the Spanx feel.

Fits well, thick fabric, double stitching around legs, arms, straps
This is a beautiful swimsuit. Fits very well (pay attention to the size chart). It is stitched very well around the top opening/bodice and leg holes. The pieces are surged well together. The entire suit is constructed very well. The bodice has gentle shaping cups, soft and flexible - no gap so far. The design with the knot feels a bit funny to me, as I'm not used to something like that. But I daresay I won't notice it after awhile. I imagine it will help keep 'up' a wrap wound around my waist as well. lol. The only thing I didn't like was the skirt not being stitched along the free edge. It's just plain cut. Now the fabric won't ravel, it's swimsuit fabric. But when you move or sit, the skirt has a tendency to flip up the edge just a bit. You can see this in the photos/description actually. The underside of the fabric is a light color, which is very visible on the darker printed swimsuits. Not a huge deal, but it is noticeable. For me personally, the fit and finish, how well it's constructed, beautiful main print and good design are winners.

Pretty and nice design
I ordered this suit in my usual size and it fits as expected. I really like the pattern (I got the white & yellow) and the overall look. I like to have my tummy covered and this does that nicely with the overskirt hiding my lumps and bulges. The fabric is non-raveling and the overskirt does not have a hem. It doesn't need one because the fabric won't ravel, but some may not like the lack of a hem, doesn't bother me.

Best possible choice!
I just got this suit, tried it on and couldn't contain my excitement so I just had to write this review before doing anything else! I am absolutely thrilled with this beautiful creation. It fits perfectly and the drape of the skirt is long enough to hide a lot of myself that no one wants to see! The colors are beautiful and the entire suit is well made. It's winter here but I know that when pool season rolls around that this is going to be my new favorite go-to-suit! I've never ordered a Grace Karin product that I was unhappy with and this suit is no exception. Grace Karin is one of the few brands that I can order with confidence that it will not only be gorgeous on the rack but it will also be a perfect fit for my plus-sized body and won't break the bank in the process.I noticed that some reviewers complained about the fact that there is a raw edge (not hemmed) on the fabric skirt. Although that observation is correct, I don't think it diminishes the quality or the value of this item in the least. By its very nature this fabric should not ravel or shred so adding a hemmed edge adds no longevity value to the finished product - I can say from experience as a seamstress that hemming the edge might also cause the bias-cut fabric to roll which would detract from the look considerably. Personally, I plan to order another one of these in a different color if they're still available!
