This carrying case is pretty cool. I don't have to walk with my backpack any more. I just throw laptop and all in this baby. It gets the job done.I didn't give this 5 stars because of the carrying strap. It's pretty flimsy if you ask me> I think the strap will fail soon. I feel it is slightly to expensive for what it has to offer. If this thing had backpack straps then it would have been worth it.

This bag has received a number of less than stellar reviews. Shoddy construction, defective zippers, lack of padding come to mind. I purchased this bag despite the negative ratings. I previously purchased a Gator 61 key gig bag. It was well constructed. Problem was that it was significantly oversized for the Novation 61. I thought about purchasing the Gator 61 slim keyboard bag, but the inside dimension were too small.So what about this Novation bag?Overall construction- it is a lighter weight construction that the Gator bag, but adequate for weekend gigging. I recommend putting this on top of other items when loading band gear. It's not designed to protect the keyboard if you pile other gear on top of it.Pouches- Nice! Plenty of storage spaces on the outside of the bag.Shoulder strap- useless. Somehow they managed to design it so that it will not sit comfortably on your shoulder, and when it is on your shoulder, it slips off easy. Fortunately the carrying handles built into the bag are comfortable and it's easy to transport without using the shoulder strap.Zippers- yes they are lighter weight than the Gator bag. I take my time zipping and unzipping and don't force the zippers. I think if you approach it this way, you won't have any problem with the zippers.Fit- this is one of my main beefs about the bag. It's an extremely tight fit. I really think someone passed on the wrong measurements when submitting dimensions for the bag's design. After using the bag regularly for 2 months, I think it is fitting a little easier- maybe the fabric has relaxed a bit. I have found it best to lay the empty bag on the floor, open it and lay the keyboard inside. I put it in the bag so that the 2 back corners and one of the front corners are fully in the bag; then I "work" the remaining front corner of the bag up and around the corner of the keyboard and zip it up.I'm OK with this being a lightweight bag. It meets my needs. But the Gator bag was definitely better designed and I would have kept it if it hadn't been so oversized.

I just bought your "Novation 61 Soft Shoulder Bag for 61-Key MIDI Controller Keyboards" to use with my Impulse 61 and right out of the box BOTH zippers broke and on the first pull right out of the shipping box! Worse yet, my Impulse 61 barely fit into the case and only with quite a bit of stretching and pulling to get it in. Very poor quality. Returning for refund. Very surprised and disappointed considering the quality of the Impulse 61, which is excellent.

It's a nice bag, but it could use some more padding. I will add my own padding on the keyboard side. At $89.95 it is not good value - wait for it to come on sale, I have seen it as low as $50 on Amazon. It fits the Impulse 61 perfectly.

I love the form factor and design of this case, but the build quality is very very low. Like I read in other reviews, the zippers broke within 3 or 4 uses. They just fell apart with obviously defective materials. I would spend more for a higher quality product.

Well, it fits. I've had this bag for almost two years, and the only concern is that the shoulder strap is starting to come loose after what amounts to very light use over that time period.

not worth the money, the stitching came undone within 2 months of using it and now the zippers are sticking.
