Salter EK2845 Healthy Cooking 3-Tier Food Rice Meat Vegetable Steamer, 9 Litre, 800 W, Stainless Steel

Bought as gift for my mother who is in her 80’s and who was finding gas hob steamer harder to clean. Mother really likes this steamer - easy to use, easy to clean, just one level is ample space for her. Mother reports food smells lovely and fresh whilst cooking and colours retained. Mother happily experimenting cooking times of lots of different foods. Tiers do get hot so gloves or tea towel needed when lifting the tiers, but tiers do remain sturdy.

Terrible product. Probably is the worst steamer I have so far seen. It’s not only very cheap plastic, the different levels don’t even fit together properly. When you do finally get them in the right position, the trays just rock back and forth. Very unstable, and yes, we know how to properly put it together, but this one is so fidgety.Also, now actually having used it, there is a very distinct plastic burning smell (cooked rice). Even the food had a strong taste of burned plastic, had to throw it away. This is surely a health hazard?Also be aware that return postage is on you. I feel that as the product is awful quality that should not be the case, but here we are. It pays to take note of whom the product is bought off. Shows Amazon Prime, but product is private seller (thus return postage costs).Return Postage cost me £7.29 (Collect+)

Excellent product and used several times since buying cooks food by steam lovely and makes veg taste better instead of watery if boiling food.

No issues with the product. Works as expected. Was long trying to pick which steamer I want and decided for Salfer because I have other devices from the brand. I had more suphisticated model before (electronic programs for different kind of foods) but mania timer is equally good.
