These Alston pedals are my 3rd set of replacements for my Biktrix Swift. Commute daily and the ebike is my sole transportation. Put a good 1,500 miles a year. Replaced the original pedals as soon as I got the bike in 2020. Then replaced the with ROCKBROS Mountain Bike Pedals MTB Pedals. Had those bad boys on for two years. No problems really, axle greased them regularly. They just wore out; pins missing. Saw these Alston Mountain Bike Pedals Road Bicycle Pedals. Liked the "X" cross in the middle of the axle. Same color as the ROCKBROS, Ruby/Black. But, the pins are freaking sharp. These pedals will hold a flat soled shoe even in the wettest conditions. They WILL GRIP. Your foot will stay in place. They also are good everyday pedals in commuter traffic. The crappy roads are bad enough. Knowing your foot will NOT slip off that Alston peddle and toss you onto the concrete. Closed to the same price. ROCKBROS did their job well (put them on my kids TRECK). Gonna give these Alston's a go. Let you know in two years.CAUTION: Pins are sharp. They hurt when you get wacked in the shin.

I love the looks of these pedals. The installation was different since you have to use a bigger allen wrench size. But even with that the build quality of these pedals are flawless for the price.

Recently started a project on a cheap GTS chinese bike to make it good, and im upgrading it so i can actually mountain bike in it, and man i didnt know how much it change the feel of the bike having good pedals, these ones are grippy as hell in comparison, no more accidental slip of my shoes no more stoping pedaling while in bad terrain or while pasing some nasty roots. in other words im buying this for my other bikes 100%. One mistake i did was mounting them in the wrong side and it was so nasty and stupid even for me... i was 3 HOURSS forcing them without even realizing, after doing a lot of hard work like and idiot i had to change one arm from that mistake but at the end the pedals they did not suffer the threads had no damage but man after my mecanic mount them my bike just felt like a premium one now it grips to my shoes so good and i can even get more speed and torque since i have more platform i think its more efficient, so happy with them and they look great! i have more work to do in the bike because is a normal one glad i bought, im buying another colors as well in the future!

Happy with these pedals, good build quality, smooth bearings, lightweight and slimmer then my previous more expansive pedals.

I replaced a set of resin/metal pedals on my Norco Charger 9.2 with a set of these. They match the black and white aesthetic of the bike perfectly. The pedals are grippy, seem to be sturdy and are functioning as well or better than the pedals I replaced. Worth the asking price with my only caveat being be sure to watch a few how-to videos if you've never swapped pedals before. Most bikes have differing thread orientation from side to side so what loosens the pedal on the chain side won't loosen it on the other side and vice-versa.

Grippy pedals. Bearings flow nice and freely. Would buy another set. Replacement for factory pedals on my Specialised MTB.
