Great shoe!
Several years ago, I bought this same walking shoe and had worn it so much that it had become a pair of "gardening shoes". In the meantime I had purchased several other brands of walking shoes, but nothing quite compared. One day when working in the yard and enjoying the fit of my now "gardening Aertex" that still were very comfortable albeit very grungy looking, it occurred to me to see if the same shoe was still being made. Much to my delight they are! I am very much enjoying my good looking, great fitting aertex shoes. I love it that the insoles are removable as I wear orthotics. It has a nice wide toe box, so no pinching and the soles are very solid and I don't roll in with my foot as I tend to do in other shoes due to the substantial soles. Way to go Aertex!

Great shoe.
Excellent product. Excellent arch support . Apex website says these shoes are V last, Amazon says Xlast, but I found the support very good.Nice looking shoe, for one that accepts orthotics.

Good fit for orthotic wearers
I answered "yes" to good arch support, but I have to take out their insoles and put in my own orthotics. But if you don't need special inserts, theirs are better than the average walking shoe. As a pet sitter I walk and stand a LOT and these shoes seem to last me longer than the average shoe.

The Brand you will receive is from Aetrex componant APEX, same great shoes...
I've been wearing these shoes for years, since being recommended to me by a Real shoe store that specialized in helping those with problem feet. In my case, I'd had multiple run ins with plantar fasciitis. Once I started wearing these specific shoes V854, I received relief and haven't had a reoccurrence in over 5 years. Originally these were labeled Aetrex, this most recent pair is the second time what I received was labeled APEX vice Aetrex. I closely reviewed the information that arrived with the shoes as well as a little on line digging and confirmed that despite the slight difference in the logo on the shoes and the name imprinted; these are the same shoes I fell in love with. I wear them nearly every day and remain pain free. I highly recommend these shoes for anyone needing a comfortable and supportive walking shoe with moderate arch support.

Aetrex Walking Shoe
I have been wearing this brand of shoes for the past 3 years. Just recently began purchasing them through Amazon.com.Previously I got them from Footsmart, but amazon has them at a lower price. I have multiple issues with my feet - flat feet, bunion, pronation and supination. Along with my bad knees - my feet ached. I tried a few different styles of Aetrex shoes and I like this one the best. I have wide feet and these fit great. The stabilizer keeps me from turning my foot and I have pretty consistent tread wear. I get a new pair every 6 months because I am an X-ray tech for a very large orthopedic practice and am constantly on my feet.

Took care of my plantar fasciitis while I was suffering from it
If you supinate (walk on the outer edges of your feet) or suffer from plantar fasciitis, these are the greatest shoes. I had gotten back into a walking routine (on pavement and mostly uphill -- which often exacerbates PF) and found these shoes after a long soul-searching. No, they are not "cute" -- in fact, they're pretty orthopedic-looking -- but at 45, I realized I needed to focus on my feet and not worry about looks. In short, while I was dealing with a bout of PF, these shoes made it go away and I never even had to stop my workout regimen. They force my feet to roll inward and stay flat for great stability, and the insoles come out so that I can keep my doctor-prescribed Spenco cross trainer insoles in them all the time. When I get back to running (a few more pounds), I will be checking out the Aetrex running shoes!

Gives me better quality of working life. Still energetic and painless back, feet/legs when I clock out from work!! ;)
Will recvd them tomorrow. This is my second pair they last forever. Great for my back, sensitive feet/legs, I work standing and walking all day. My coworker always complaint about feet/legs hurting. I recommended them but since they do not want to invest, at the end of the day I'm feeling great (no hurting whatsoever (no plantar fasciitis) and they are just exhausted and hurting dying to go home. I recommend these to everyone, specially those that work standing and walking on hard floors and those with the ice picking feet monster "plantar fasciitis"......you won't regret it!!!!!! I use the Dr. Scholl's insoles with the gray or blue lining to prolong the life of the comfort.

Shoes are MAGIC!
I have worn these shoes, previously marketed by Aertex, for years. It is the ONLY shoe I wear. I had multiple issues with my feet before I found them: plantar fasciitis, bunion, heel spurs, neuroma. On bad days, I was effectively crippled. Expensive prescription orthotics did not help me nearly as much as these shoes. I should mention that I am overweight and on my feet all day at work. These shoes are MAGIC! And as athletic shoes go, they're damn cute!
