I wanted lights out by my pool area more for a decorative touch. I Purchased these and I was really happy that I could go for an all white or switch over to rotating colored lights. For Christmas I had the pool lights turned on to the rotating green and red and it looked awesome. I’m not sure if it uses more power doing that or not because I didn’t check in the morning. But I found the lights to stay on most of the night when selected to on white. They actually do light up around the pool and with my back porch light on I could be out there and see around my pool area. It would be great for a night swim! Waiting for warmer weather LOL. They were easy to attach. I just stuck them on with the tape (they are holding firm) to the upright poles of my lanai. I would definitely recommend these!UPDATE: I Purchased this 11 months ago and I’m now changing the batteries for the first time! I live in Florida so I get a lot of sun and the lights have stayed bright till morning. I’m able to go out and walk my puppy outside of the lani at night. I will save them we’re having periods of really heavy cloud and rain and thunderstorms that the lights don’t last the whole night. But after all the solar lights so they need sun and you can’t blame the lights if there is no send to charge them! I get tons of compliments! They’re easy to change out the batteries and I’m very happy with them and would recommend them to hundred percent!

We had a new fence built and when the old one came down so did the "wired" lights we had installed 15 yrs ago. They were good and trusted friends. So we were nervous about getting Solar lights. Read lots of reviews and found these. We love them, they are attractive, the light is just right -- not to bright and not to dim. We are white light people, so don't think we are going to use the colored lights too often.

I’ve bought these last year for my fence and they just wore out after over a year. Bought another set…I missed how great my backyard looked with the lights on the fence. You can have color or white. I just use white. Looks so upscale! Will continue to buy each year. You can’t beat the price for the quality and appeal.

Apparently, it's a perfect summer home for "paper wasps" where I live in southeastern United States. I noticed one light was dim at night, and eventually found these terrors when I went to check it out. I checked my other ones, and probably half of them have the same dwellers (just smaller nests). Not sure if it'd be a problem with anyone else, but just thought I'd make it known. However, I do love these little lights. I've had them well over a year, and they're doing great. I have them on my fence posts, as you can see. If you are looking from the other side of the fence, though, they provide no light. Perfect as an accent.

I bought a bunch of these in June 2021 to hang on my fence posts around the pool. They provide nice decorative accents which is what I wanted. They aren’t spot lights. I leave them out there all year long, including through the upstate New York winter. This year (2024) several were either much dimmer or weren’t working. I replaced the rechargeable NiCad battery in some of them with NiMh which worked, a few others didn’t work with a new battery so I bought replacements and now have a few spares on hand.

I actually bought this set to replace the one I bought four years ago. I put them on the deck railing and my neighbors love them. I received so many compliments. Some of the old ones are still working however these have the latest design. I used adhesive to attach them. The old ones remained attached and working despite heavy rain, very hot weather and snowstorms during the last four years. The new ones beautifully light up the back of our house. I'm confident they will also last for years. You'll really be amazed at their durability.

Bought the 8 pack to light the deck stairways.The first two nights they worked ok, although a bit dim. Now, despite Texas summer sun, they no longer stay lit when letting out the dog in the morning.I'll take a look at replacing the batteries for one or two of these to see if that helps.
