Very pretty but has issues ~~
I LOVE containers and boxes that combine form & function. After receiving this set, I now also understand that I am not a huge fan of "metal" containers. They are heavier, noisier, and have the potential to scratch the human user. While the pattern/colors ARE attractive, they are heavy and not as compatible to get on/off a shelf + there are sharp edges to navigate. One will need to be attentive to hands/arms when utilizing. Some of the corners (4 upper/4 lower) are pretty sharp and some of the interior trim edges are raw. Before I use the small or medium on an upper shelf (if I do), I will add felt feet under the corners or glue felt as these can scratch finished surfaces. The color "pink" was used in the product description for the flowers. My set has the palest hint of a pink/peach--but mostly shows as silver. The teal, depending upon lighting, can reflect from a lovely light teal shade to a light turquoise. The black/silverish accenting is attractive--not super perfect (I appreciate that)...but the spray-paint (black) can easily scratch/rub off----cons of spray paint on metal. (**in the photo below, perhaps you can see the scratched-off black revealing the silver undercoat--second flower from the left/top row). The interior is spray-painted black--the metal has a hammered effect). The base trim is a combo of black background with a silver-ish accenting.Upon opening the very large box inside of a large amazon box, the decorative bins were very well protected with bubble wrap bags and styrafoam panels. The spray-paint scent was very strong (still is after being aired out). Eventually, that should fade. (confirm the offered measurements on the description--I thought I had a clear grip on the sizes, but I think--when the reality of the medium and larger bins + being metal + inconsistent edges...original plan, of being up on shelves, gets tossed)I would NOT recommend that these be utilized by children -- to toss toys, books...anything -- because of the sharp edges.Because of their heaviness + sharp edgings, these could be attractive to inset small flowers/pots (interior/exterior). I have not tested their water-tightness and if used inside, I would put plastic-water trays under a pot to ensure no leakage. If used outside, drainage holes could be drilled if planting into added soil...but I do wonder how durable and rust-resistant this would be. (If super motivated...add a sealer to the whole box)The loop metal handles are a plus for lifting/carrying. They feel secure to trust lifting & holding.Currently, Amazon offers this items at $150. Unless you are SUPER in love with this look (and, they are pretty), they seem over-priced. I prefer giving glowing 5-star reviews, but this product gets 3-stars.

Better than expected
Even at this price I was expecting less than exacting construction and/or rather flimsy materials, and expected that these would be more for decorative than utilitarian purposes. I was pleasantly surprised when I began to unpack these and found them to be much heavier than I had expected. As I inspected the containers the pleasant surprises continued - the metal was thicker than I had expected, the joins had been carefully done, no blobs of solder, no missed spots on the joins, the corners all matched perfectly. Care had been taken on the interiors as well as the exterior. The design of raised silver flowers and green lattice on a black background hand been carefully executed. It is not so perfect as to appear machine made but had subtle variations that looked as if the pieces had been lovingly hand made. Each container has ring handles on the ends that seem to be securely attached rather than purely decorative. When I order these I was expecting much lighter containers that I was planning on placing on top of some tall cabinets. I realized though that these were too heavy to make that use practical. Instead I place the largest unit on the lower shelf of a console table. All the various catalogs, games and other items that had been placed there were gathered together and placed inside the box. There was room to spare and the result was a much more pleasing look rather than the jumble it had been. The two smaller boxes will be placed on a nearby entertainment unit to contain the various dvds, remotes and other bits that now clutter some of the shelves. The items are still readily accessible but the look is much more visually pleasing. As I was thinking of ways to use these containers I had also considered using the larger ones to hold firewood and kindling, shoes, bedside reading materials, guest room amenities and thought the smaller one would be good for containing the mess of mail, keys etc that accumulates by the front door or perhaps to store some of the bathroom clutter.Overall these containers are will worth the cost and offer a wide variety of potential uses.

Household Essentials Chelsea Decorative Metal Storage Box, 3Piece Set, black Floral, not worth the money
Sorry, I think for the price, these Household Essentials Chelsea Decorative Metal Storage Boxes just don’t size up. Sure, they’re roomy enough, but $200? No way. I don’t even think the three-piece set deserve a $100 price tag. Yes, solid metal, but metal isn’t that expensive, correct? And the point is, metal is heavy. So if you want to use these boxes for moving things, it’s better to get a cardboard box or a tote. Though, the round handles on the sides of the boxes do make it easier to maneuver these contraptions. Also, I would question the construction of these boxes. They seem flimsy to me. In fact, on the bottom you can see the light come through the corners, so that’s not a good sign.Decorative? Yes, the silver trim, embossed pink flowers and blue grid design is nice; perhaps antique like or, depending how you look at it, old lady-ish. If you have some money to blow, you might want to consider these decorative boxes for yourself or as a gift. However, I, personally, don’t think the cost is worth the effort.
