This is a most excellent piece of equipment, and well worth the price for playing CD Music discs. I am a perfectionist when it comes to classical music and opera. The TASCAM player/recorder reproduces it all, to the highest degree possible, as long as the disc you are playing is in most excellent condition, with no flaws, pits or grooves, and it is perfectly clean. In my sound system, the L/R audio output of the TASCAM player/recorder is fed to an adjustable SONY audio amplifier, before it goes to the speaker system, composed of the usual "Woofers", "Midrange", and "Tweeter" speakers. Most importantly, the original audio coming from the TASCAM is perfectly clean, with no form of player introduced noise or static.I would recommend this player/recorder to anyone seriously interested in their music. It even has a "Pitch" control adjustment for fine tuning the player to each individual disc you play. The Tascam is the only player/recorder on the market that has a "Pitch" adjustment, along with all the other controls you can use for "high end" playing and recording.Sincerely Yours,Philip, from Northfield, New Hampshire

Looked for a long time to find this recorder (according to my needs) and a great one, she is! Looks good, sounds a little on the soft-side. Rack-mountable and looks cool in the rack. The orange display is harsh, though. You can't really see it well from beyond 2 feet; I wish it was blue-filtered. Other than that, you can't go wrong with this Tascam CD-RW901MKII.my 2 cents45K40

For those like myself who enjoy recording various analog sources to C.D. this product is a joy. Easy to use, and beautiful sound reproduction. I was especially pleased with the balanced XLR I/O's. My phono pre-amp has XLR outputs, I go straight from these to the XLR in. The result is a clean warm sound with a significantly lower noise floor. The ability to write C.D. text is a nice bonus. Tascam products have never disappointed me, and this product is no exception. Worth the price.

The unit arrived on time, and as expected. So far I have completed three recording projects, and several recording drafts, and have found the unit to be exactly what I had hoped it would be. The controls are intuitive and relatively easy to navigate, (with occasional help from the manual), and the recording quality is solid and professional. I would recommend this CD burner to studio musicians, audiophiles, and folks in the audio business. Thanks, Tascam for another exceptional product. You have never let me down!!
