Surprisingly good
First, a rant. Can we please stop referring to plastic as some kind of leather variant? PU leather is plastic. Vegan leather is usually plastic or some kind of plant-based material. This use of the word leather is deliberately misleading, and is no different from referring to nylon as 'vegan silk'. Leather behaves differently and is much more versatile and pliable than plastic. It also usually looks better. This case is plastic, that looks a bit like leather. That said, it does the job it's designed to do in that it fits the X100VI like a glove (a bit too tightly, actually, it can be a struggle to get the bottom snap fastening to engage). When closed, it protects the camera from knocks and scrapes, and when open, it's possible to have the front of the case hang down from the bottom fastening, although because it's plastic and not very pliable, it takes a bit of practice to ensure that the edge of the case doesn't obscure the lens.I wanted a full-cover case rather than a half-case (what is the point of a half-case? The camera is most vulnerable to scratches and marks on its silver portion at the top not the bottom!).I was skeptical about whether this would do the job for me but I didn't want to spend an inordinate amount of money on a real leather model. I was therefore pleasantly surprised when I found that it fitted the bill. However, I have had to return it. Not because it didn't do the job adequately but the retaining screw that holds the base of the case to the camera worked itself loose on the first day of using it and since I was in the street and didn't hear it fall, I couldn't find it. The case, obviously, then fell off the camera when I next opened it to take a photograph. It is possible that I didn't tighten it adequately when I put the case on, but then again I don't go everywhere with a screwdriver and so even if I had noticed that it was untightening, I wouldn't have been able to do anything about it.I tried to find a way to contact the manufacturer, by searching on the Web and going through the Amazon link, but to no avail. So for the want of a brass screw that probably costs less than a pound, this case became unusable. So I have knocked off a star for this product. But don't let this put you off buying it. My recommendation is that if you buy one, make sure that the screw is well tightened (and perhaps a drop of thread lock applied). This will probably stave off the problem I had.If I were to buy this again, I would also try to find a spare 1/4" case screw to keep just in case. I couldn't do that now because I don't remember what the profile was of the one I lost, and there are different types. So I recommend this case if you want a cheap alternative to leather. But do be aware that you can't use this case if you have bought a lens hood; the case fits too snugly. It does, however, work if (as I did) you have bought a UV filter, although it will be a bit of a struggle to close the snap lock at the bottom when you close the case.

Excellent case for Fuji x100vi
Only pu leather which I normally don’t like, but it’s beautifully made, good design and perfect fit, so overall far superior value than the £80 official version (which is virtually unobtainable anyway)

Blocks the screen from opening.
Sadly I didn’t notice this in the return window given some limitations to shoot, and now I have spent money on a bad case I can’t use.Annoying, avoid the product if the screen tilting matters to you.
