Much like the other review here the sheath needs a major overhaul. The snap that retaines the knife in place has multiple issues. It scrapes the edge of the blade ever time you draw it, the placement makes it really hard to snap or unsnap when you are carrying the knife and it is extremely hard to snap and unsnap. Also wide handed people beware the handle is not made for you. I have shorter very wide hands and my fingers are so smooshed together when I grip it,it's almost useless. I will be having a different sheath made for it and giving it to my son.Ferro rod works very well also

I probably buy another for my little brother.Measurements are perfect for a quick out to the woods, the handle is comfortable and ergonomic, multi-position sheath on black leather is very functional, ready for molle system, vertical or scout wearingGood dimensions, full tang, good grip, compact, thug and useful, not aggressive jimping, and a lanyard hole, includes a good quality firesteel with a regular striker., Highly recommended

I really like the way this feels in my hand, It took some time to get my edge on it and I really liked that. The only thing I didn't like was that button on the sheath to lock it in, it does brush against the knifes edge that I spent a few hours getting but this is meant for me as a back-up. I thought about just removing that button altogether since it locks in nice without it.Going to be worn at the small of my back sideways so maybe I wont. I wanted to give it only 4 stars due to the sheath but its so nice I can over look that.

I wanted this to be a much better knife than what I received. The grind was all over the place and while the sheath looks really nice it doesn't function properly due to the snap on the belt loop that pops open if you breath.

Just received the knife today. Over time, I'll be sure to update my review if necessary, but I put it through some paces, and found it held up very nicely. I wanted a smaller knife for EDC purposes, and when I opened the box, I felt this knife was too small. However, upon using it, I found that the heft of this little knife made up perfectly for its size. It fits in my EDC bag perfectly. Works great with the accompanying ferro rod, and cut quickly through everything I tried it on. Looks beautiful, and feels even better. It's not a replacement for a BK-7, but man, it sure seems like it will be able to hold its own when it counts.Sheath is nice. Some reviewers have complained about the snap that holds the knife in place, and I won't argue with them, but I can live with it.

Knife is nice. Flat grind, sharp with a mirror polish out of the box. I took mine to the polishing wheel to remove the gold from the logo. Now it is a nice black color and more subtle. The markings on the blade are laser etched, so your going to have to regrind the blade to remove them if your looking for a flat mark less blade.Knife is sufficient for my day to day tasks, not as much finesse and my 1013 but it is quickly becoming my go to knife.I really like the sheath and the ability to carry horizontally on my belt. Carried in the scout style deployment is quick, but retention is secure in the sheath.Very happy overall.

The knife is perfect. The only problem with it when I opened up the box is that the snap of the leather case that holds the knife in place , especially when you wish to carry and conceal it sideway on your back was broken and you cannot snap it. I guess I will have to try and find a leather repair man and see if I can get it fixed. It is too bad that the quality of the snap on the carrying cases are made so cheap.

Another awesome product, this is a beautiful bushcraft tool, the sharpest out of the box i have ever laid for. The quality is simply amazing. I follow the DBK channel on utube an was buying the Faulkner F1 when i came across this bad boy, i have large hands an knife fits comfortableim my hand, if you wear extra large like mechanic brand gloves the handle may be a bit small, i have read other reviews about the sheaf, an for myself i love it, you will not lose this knife as long as its snapped close an no rattle what so ever, yes its a little getting used to opening, but i rather this baby be very secure than worry about it falling out, after all this is a bushcraft full flat grind with slight bevel or sharpness on edge, not a tactical or combat type of knife, but that said it will cut any thing that is meat to ribbions if needed. I would give it ten stars if they had them! Thank you to the company that produced this treasure!

Das Messer wurde in einer Box incl, Feuerstahl und Messerscheide (Leder) schnell geliefert.Die Klinge 4,5 mm ist durchgehend bis zum Griffende, hochwertig und sehr robust. Das Messer liegt für mittelgroße Hände gut in der Hand. Die Schärfe bei Lieferung war ausreichend, wer es aber Rasiermesserscharf erwartet hat, muss es nachschleifen. Einziger Kritikpunkt:Die Lederscheide ist nicht schlecht, wenn der Druckknopf nicht wäre. Beim Ziehen des Messers streift die Klinge am Metallknopf des Druckknopfs macht somit das Messer stumpf. Man kann es durch Anheben oder vorsichtigem Herausziehen vermeiden, aber optimal ist das nicht. Der Griff ist sehr schön verarbeitet und das Messer mittellastig austariert. Kleinere Holzblöcke zu spalten ist sicher möglich, aber aufgrund der Klingenlänge und der mittellastigen Gewichtsverteilung nicht die Paradedisziplin. Der Feuerstahl ist gut und lässt sich in der Messerscheide fixieren. Gezündet werden kann er mittels beigefügtem Stahlblech oder mit der geriffelten Daumenauflage am Messerrücken. Für diesen Preis wird man nach einem besseren Messer sicher lange suchen müssen.

Arrivato il giorno prima, con Amazon c'è felicemente da aspettarselo!Che dire... il coltello è massiccio, non enorme e non piccolo, direi giusto.Non l'ho ancora provato ma è certo che lavorandoci può tagliare rami anche spessi comepure preparare panini.L'acciaio è ottimo come pure la lucidatura e le finiture del manico.Il fodero di cuoio spesso è bellissimo.Unico appunto negativo è nell'estrarre il coltello. Bisogna allargare il fodero o ilbottone può graffiare la lama quindi bisogna stare molto attenti a non tagliarsi.Per inciso il coltello è arrivato affilatissimo e l'accenditore funziona sia col coltelloche con la barretta acclusa.Acquisto veramente raccomandato.Dopo alcuni mesi posso confermare che il coltello è valido ma la chiusura della custodia è estremamente scomoda.Mi sono anche tagliato per togliere il coltello!Proprio per il fodero non lo ricomprerei.

Das ist meine Gesamtnote für das Messer. Den einen Stern gab es Aufgrund von 2 "Unzulänglichkeiten", dazu aber gleich genaueres. Zunächst möchte ich die ja überwiegend positiveb Eigenschaften erwähnen. Die Verarbeitung sowohl des Messers als auch der Scheide sind sehr gut, keine Spalten, keine Macken alles passt perfekt zueinander. Gleich noch eines vorweg, für Leute mit großen Händen ist dieses Messer nicht geeignet! Ich selbst habe Handschuhgröße 9 und für mich ist es gerade noch so passend.Zum Messer:Stahl: MV-58 (MoVa) HRC 56-58 entspricht in etwa einem 440B oder 1.4116, VollerlKlingenform: DroppointKlingenlänge: 100mmKlingenstärke: 5mmGriff: Unten 80mm oben ca. 115mmAnschliff: Flachschliff durchgehend bis zum KlingenrückenDas Messer kommt gut geschärft und muß nicht nach gearbeitet werden. Hier der erste kleine "Fehler" an der Klingenspitze ist der Anschliff nicht symmetrisch, ich denke das ist aber auf mein Messer beschränkt und sollte nicht standard sein.Zur Scheide:Ein wunderschönes Prachtstück, so wie ich mir persönlich das vorstelle. Das Leder ist kräftig und gut durchgefärbt, es nahm kein Lederfett mehr an. Die Scheide kann sowohl senkrecht als auch waagerecht am Gürtel getragen werden. Hier der zweite deutlich schwer wiegende "Fehler". Die Scheide hat einen Verschlußknopf zur Sicherung des Messers, dieser ist wie auf den Bildern zu sehen unterhalb des Messers angebracht. Das Problem dabei ist das das Messer relativ stramm in der Scheide sitzt und es beinahe unmöglich ist es einhändig heraus zu ziehen. Wenn man nun das Messer mit einer Hand heraus zieht schleift das Messer dabei über den Metall Druckknopf, dies ist mit einer Hand unvermeidlich und man braucht auf jeden Fall beide Hände um die Scheide mit einer Hand aufzuspreitzen damit man das Messer entnehmen kann ohne das Kontakt mit dem Druckknopf entsteht und selbst das ist noch fummelig.Fazit:Ein wirklich wunderschönes Messer mit ebenso schöner Scheide, leider für Praktiker als Arbeitsmesser völlig unbrauchbar. Zum Wandern, mal Brotzeit machen und alle anderen Aufgaben bei denen das Messer nicht oft in/aus derScheide muß geeignet, für alles andere nicht. Leider hatte mein Modell (mit weißem Micarta) auch die nur auf einem Bild zu sehenden zusätzlichen Einfräsungen entlang des Griffs, was ohne deutlich angenehmer gewesen wäre.
