Good for short dives
Used the tank a few times for item retrieval from the lake. You will need to purchase a high pressure air compressor designed to fill tanks or frequent trips to the dive shop. Well built, heavy duty with good hookups.

Keep shopping
I bought two of these units so a friend and I could explore some shallow freshwater areas right off the bat they looked good but one of the hose connections at the top valve leaks no matter what I do or how I can get it if I tighten it any longer it's going to strip it out but it's still leaks the storage capacity of these is about 10 minutes if you're lucky and they only work to about 20 to 25 ft and then the regulator acts as if the tank is empty even when you've only taken a few breaths so don't go past 25 ft it's basically like running out of air I checked this against both units and they are the same be careful folks this is not made for any real scuba diving save your money

Easy to use
This product works great and easy to use, while snorkeling it allows me an extra 10 minutes underwater.

Great for price !
Great for price ! Comes in travel bag you can bring on plane. Need a mini wrench better than one that comes with it! Take apart when travel. Nice but really only max 5 mins if that. Prob more like 3 mins for an adult. 20ft really max but great for quick dive or scuba and for kids and learning - messing around in the pool for training - if serious I would say get 2 tanks or the 2L min if you want a real dive more then 6 minutes, 8 or possibly 10 - but never would be more

Fantastic setup if you get the appropriate compressor
Extremely high quality. Equals to standard scuba equipment. I bought the dual set. I bought backpack style harnesses for comfort. The standard harnesses, however, are adequate. The low ratings are from people who are trying to fill these with a bicycle pump. That is completely inadequate. These come with an adapter to fill for my standard scuba tank. I bought a portable high 4500 psi compressor powered by an 18 volt cordless drill type battery. It takes about 10 minutes to fill a tank to 3,000 psi. That is good for 15 to 20 minutes in 20 or 30 ft of water. I bought several additional batteries and can refill the tanks over and over out on my boat. So much easier to use and more comfortable than full size scuba gear. Attached is a photo of the compressor. In combination this is a fantastic addition to boating. I completely assembled both units and was able to fit them in the standard case by cutting out a few dividers. I keep the masks with swim fins in a small backpack. Couldn't be happier with the whole setup.

Great quality mini scuba tank setup
UPDATE: We figured it out. All parts were fine. After seeing an assembly video, I found the issue is that the printed instructions had the breathing hose and the pressure gauge hose swapped so it did not fit correctly. Once I put the hoses in the correct ports, it all connected perfectly. Note, the video on the product web site shows it correct too - I just missed that on my 1st time review. So in the end, my only issue is that the User Manual's assembly instructions need to be corrected, and those same instructions should be augmented with 1. what all the spare O rings go to because there are quite a few extra, 2. how the straps holding the tank go on your body - it is a bit confusing, and 3. the use of the charge connector (even though it should be relatively obvious).Have fun!ORIGINAL:I really wanted to like this Unarowhals mini scuba tank. I could see myself with shallow dives that are better than snorkeling, and without a large tank & gear setup. The parts all appear to be high quality, and it comes in a nifty padded travel case with foam separators. My big issue, is that the pressure gauge hose could not screw into the tank valve. I tried maybe 20 times to get them together, and it could not. The stiff pressure gauge hose and the rotating receiver part did not make it easy, but it was not impossible. A number of times I could get the 1st thread in, but then there was a hard stop, like the threads were a mismatch. Very frustrating. I will contact the seller to see if something is wrong with the threads or my attempts.I have to say, the rest of the assembly was very smooth. The flexible hose connecting the demand valve to the tank valve was a snap. Nice and secure. One small issue I noticed was that there was no cover over the tank side female receptacle as shown in the installation steps. It would be good having this because there is a small loose ring in this which fell out when I unscrewed the hose. Got to keep an eye out for small parts. The tank valve assembled very readily to the aluminum tank itself. O rings stayed in place nicely. There is an air transfer device provided.

Very poor instruction.
The product seems very good, but the operating instructions are very poorly written.
